Dr. Love
hi doc, scoring: td's 10 points and .1 per yard over 40 yards. rushing and recieving: .3 per yard and bonus 5 for over 100 yards fumbles: -5 points per fumble i can start 2 rb's: w.mcgahee r. johnson l.jordan w.dunn i can start 3 wr's: r.moss r.wayne i.bruce d.driver d.mason c.chamber i'm leaning towards mcaghee and johnson jordan is new and dunn has t.j. my wr's like moss, bruce and driver becauce of matchups but should i start wayne over bruce and driver. who do you think i should start this week and should i try to trade 2 of my middle tier wr's for a #1 wr? thanks for the advice 974247 Symptoms:Lineup indecision, lack of puctuation Diagnosis: Common lineupitis Prescription:Your logic seems sound. However, I think you'd be beter off playing Wayne even against Baltimore than Driver against Detroit. I think Walker will get most of Favre's passes, while Wayne is a #1 caliber receiver who frequently sees single coverage because of Harrison. My Picks: McGahee and Johnson over Jordan Wayne over Driver
Dr. Love
Need a Flex - must get 50 yds rush or rec to get any pts. Starters (locks) Favre S. Alexander S. Jackson T. Holt Roy Williams Bench (must choose 1) L. Fitzgerald B. Lloyd Mewelde Moore few other stiffs. I currently have Fitz as the Flex, but I'm thinking about Lloyd simply due to the fact that SF will be behind early and Lloyd may get some trash yds and possibly a TD. Fitz and the AZ offense kinda scares me (fear of Warner) and I think this will be a low scoring game. Moore is still the backup (for now!) Thanks Love 974264 Symptoms: Weakness when trying to flex Diagnosis: Gruesome bench Prescription: One shot of Lloyd. Given your scoring system, I think he's a better shot to give you yardage scoring. Either guy could score a TD, that's tough to predict. My Pick Lloyd over Fitz
RavenFeeder
Hi Doc, There was such a run on RBs in our draft that when it came back to me I went with 2 Tier 1 receivers. I ended up with poor options as #2 RB, but I figure my WRs will bail me out. I recently lost E Shelton, but F Gore just became available. Should I grab him or pick up W Green, N Davenport or A Thomas? Pickin's are thin. Thanks for your assessment.

Cowboy Killah
okay. I need help picking my second WR and my third RB. I am in a standard performance league. My starting line up right now is QB: Carson Palmer, WR: Terrell Owens, WR: Roy Williams, RB: Julius Jones, RB: Kevin Jones, RB/WR: Carnell Williams, TE: Todd Heap, K: Jason Elam, and D: Dallas. Riding Pine I have QB: Jake Plummer RB: JJ Arrington, Lamont Jordan WR: Steve Smith, Michael Clayton, and Drew Bennett TE: Randy McMichael I'm thinking Carnell should have a field day on the Vike's D. But then again (as much as I hate to say it) The Giants didn't have a great run d last year either, so maybe JJ? Then I'm also thinking that Jordan could have a big day against the pats without Bruschi. And would you trust Harringto to get the ball to Williams or go with Clayton or Smith? Help? P.S. I know it looks like I'm stacked, but it's an 8 team league and the other teams look just as good and some look unstoppable. I gotta get off to a great start. Ice717
Hey Doc, Need a little help deciding which two receivers to play. :doah: Lelie@Miami Boldin@NYG Coles@KC Jones@Sea The rest of my team plus the points are in my sig. I was leaning toward Boldin and Lelie. The reason not for Coles is because of the new DBs that came to KC and the Jets implementing a new offense could take a game or two. Thanks for the advice. cliaz
Hey Dr. Love, my question is posted here: My scoring system is a standard performance with bonuses for long receptions (40+) and long rushes (20+) plus bonuses for long passing Tds (25 to 50= +1, 51 to 75 = +1, 76+ 1) So a 75+ yard Td would be 6 points +3 points for the distance. Start 1 QB, 2 Rbs, 2 Wrs, 1 Flex (WR, TE, RB, FB), 1 K, 1 D. I want to run a wish bone but with my 3rd RB being Barlow I don't think I can do this right now. Do you see a WR in the list (follow the link) that you feel can bring it? Thanks for your assessment. 974390 Symptoms: Overall weakness in RB extremities Diagnosis: Complications from WR extraction from the draft Prescription: Depending on your scoring system, you may be okay. Holt and Moss should be two of the top 5 receivers and two of the few guys at the WR position who score consistently. If you can get your backs to muster some points every week, you should do well. As for the FA situation, I like W. Green much better than the other option. Droughns is not a great running back, and Green actually has talent, and his attitude has improved greatly. While I also like Davenport, I think A. Green is much less likely to be replaced than Droughns. Pick up W. Green and keep an eye on the Green Bay backfield situation for an opportunity to pounce. My Advice: Pick up William Green

Señor Tequila
Hey Doc, I need help with a third WR, I'm already starting C.Rogers & D.Mason WDIS: K.Johnson - How strong is the Charger's Secondary? Better question, has the Cowboy's passing game worth anything this year with Bledsoe? A.Toomer - Can E.Manning throw a football??? S.Parker - Finally another WR other then Gonzo & Eddie to put up big numbers? 10pts after the first 100yds, 1pt every 10yds there after. TD 6-12pts depends on distance. I forgot to add that I could start B.Edwards.......whats your opinion about the Bengals Secondary? Browns passing game? TheBigE
Hey Doc, I've got the Ophelia Flu and worried Hasselbeck will flounder in Florida this week. With Harrington's new incentives to be number one and a maturing O and playing at home indoors, who should I start? I'm leaning toward Harrington, regardless of the stud potential of Hasselbeck. btw, new to our league this year, combine rush and pass bonus yrds for QB's. EAW
I'm hesitant to start ATL this week against PHI. I can pick up the following DEF - do you think any of these would be a better choice? I am leaning towards NYG home against the Cards. Cin DEF @ CLE Stl DEF @ SF NYG DEF vs. ARI Here is our league DEF scoring: Sack (1) Interception (2) Fumble Recovery (2) Touchdown (6) Safety (2) Block Kick (2) Points Allowed 0 points (10) Points Allowed 1-6 points (7) Points Allowed 7-13 points (4) Points Allowed 14-20 points (1) Points Allowed 21-27 points (-3) Points Allowed 28-34 points (-7) Points Allowed 35+ points (-10) Any thoughts Doc? lkollias
I have 2 decisions for 2 different leagues I am in (Standard Performance). 1). Domanick Davis vs. BUF , Mike Anderson vs. MIA or Cadillac Williams vs. MIN I need to pick 1. You should always start your studs so by that theory I should start D. Davis, but he is a little nicked up and he is playing a tough Buffalo Def. Mike Anderson seems to be the safest play. Not sure what to expect from C. Williams, but predictions look good and they are going against the Minnesota Def. What do you think? 2). JJ Arrington vs. NYG or Fred Taylor vs Seattle I was leaning towards JJ Arrington, but he has not had a great pre-season. Fred is probable and is safer pick, but this one is confusing me. Thanks for your Help!!

whomper
Hi Dr. I may be overthinking this but something just dawned on me. My question is wdis at qb? Trent Green vs NYJ or Harrington vs G.B Scoring is 3 points per passing td and 1 yardage point starting at 160 yards with an additional point every 20 yards. rest of my lineup is Edge, Portis, Horn, D. Bennett, Witten, Elam, Skins D. Im high on Trent this year but from what ive seen Green Bays D is pretty bad and the Jets D is pretty formidable. Ive never followed the always start your studs theory as law.(see my sig) My opponent also is starting Roy Williams. Thanks in advance Dr. Edited September 8, 2005 by whomper
Marauders11
I'll play. I have a WR dillema on my hands- in my 10 team local- we start 3 WR's each week (1 pt. per reception, 1 point for every 10 yds., 6 for TD's). The catch is that we do not carry any bench players- if he's on your roster, then he's in your line-up. I would like to make a decision that isn't going to be a one week thing- I want the best posible 3rd WR for the foreseeable future...... I drafted Lee Evans as my #3 behind Holt & Boldin, but now I am having second thoughts. Players on the WW that I am considering are: Stokley (can pretty much win a game for you when he goes off) TJ Housmanz- I have Carson Palmer at QB so the hook up would be in effect. Rod Smith- Steady Eddie Chambers, Muhammed, Braylon Edwards, Colbert, Santana Moss are also out there. Stokley is the one guy that I am seriously thinking about. What to do?
