How do you like ....

anyone have any opinions about how fanball compares to many of the sites mentioned here: MFL, RTS, etc? I've run my league on fanball the last 3 years and it's worked out ok. However, the live scoring doesn't update very well and has even crashed. the site seems to be down due to maintenance often. The good thing is it only costs $59.95, which is the same as MFL. But which is better?

I'm always willing to upgrade especially if it is similarly priced. Many of the other sites i've seen are over $100.

Our league is in season 3 with MFL, and all of our members absolutely love the site! We all actually came over from the Yahoo site, and in my opinion, it's no comparison. Here is a link to our site, as you can see, it allows you a lot of options. Enjoy!

P.S.

Don't forget to scroll your mouse over our NFL logo! :D

as i become more comfortable with mYfl.com, i still dont like it. Yahoo freebie is better in my opinion, based on player rankings and expert advice and really just overall aesthetics. The premium is top notch, and the winner of every premium league gets their choice of a tshirt or a plaque. awesome.

MFL is not a fantasy advice service, which is why they do not provide rankings or advice, they provide league management. You're comparing apples to oranges here.

This was our 1st year using MFFL and our major issue was their waiver wire system.  Their rinky-dink technology doesnt allow a waiver system that freezes all players from Sunday kickoff to Tuesday AND a 48 hour waiver period for dropped players.  I know Yahoo can do this.  We are moving back to yahoo unless their WW system can accomodate both our requirements.

MFL should be able to do that. OUTRAGED, a BOTH league here does that same system, or close to it. After WWs are done, FCFS begins but dropped players are not available until the next WW period. All players are frozen at first weekend kickoff.

You're :D here surely? The advice is along the lines of "Larry Johnson seems like a good starter" and who wants to wear a Yahoo T-shirt anyway? BTW, I am in a Yahoo league.

um...no i'm not

i'm comparing the league management of MYFL to that of Yahoo, and Yahoo in addition to managing FF leagues better, also provide great insight and rankings that you can sort in any way imaginiable.

i'm comparing 1 apple to a bigger, better apple :D

it's point of it. if Yahoo is willing to send you something, GREAT! If they want to congratulate you for winning your FF league, by giving you a plaque or a shirt saying you won your league, that rocks.

I agree, the "Larry Johnson you start always" lines and what not are stupid, but the other premium advice is great, and it's quickly at your fingertips. And the ranking/sorting is perfect.

Myfantasyleague absolutely CAN accommodate this type of waiver system.

First go to For Commissioners -> Setup -> Waiver Rules Calendar Setup and set up a weekly recurring pattern of freezing players between Sunday kickoff and Tuesday:

Event Type: No Waivers Allowed

Event Starts At: Kickoff of week 1

Event Ends At: Tuesday at whatever time you want it to end

Click the box next to "Happens this time, and..." and then select the number of weeks you want this pattern to repeat in the drop down menu next to "each week for next __ weeks"

Click Save Event, and you're done with that part of it.

To set it up so that all waived players are locked for 48 hours, go to For Commissioners -> Setup -> Waivers/Free Agents Setup and then next to "Once a player is dropped, he is "locked" until:", choose the 3rd option and enter 2 in the text box (for 2 days later.) Select Yes to the next question if you want locked players to show up on the waiver wire even though they can't be acquired for 2 days. Click Save Waiver Setup.

Done.

I like everything about MFL except the most important thing to me... Stat Tracker.  Even the new version in my mind is lame. I like Yahoo's stat tracker so much better that I go and make a Yahoo free league with our league settings and players and buy the stat tracker so I could be more up to date on the game action and scores.  The redzone alerts let me know what channels to flip to(I know they have that with Direct TV also but takes away from screen).  7 out of 10 would be my score.  Would be a 10 if they copied Yahoo's stat tracker all the way not half the way.

Actually, MFL's gameday app is a similar kind of thing, I thought it worked ok this year...
