Big John
How come Big John is not in? He must consider himself to respectable to join this motley crew. No. Just that my plate is full now.
rbmcdonald
No. Just that my plate is full now. Oh Seer of all things. I wondered how long it would take you to dig out that post. LOL After the 49 day draft in HFA, my wife is about ready to pull the plug on my FF! Duchess Jack
What's happening there good Homarrrrrr people.... Wow... we're getting there. Thanks for all the hard work. Anybody who has a question... please refer to the Hommarrrrr board under the both leagues. The only addition rules that have been made since the info was posted was... 1) team QBs. this is not to say that you get your team's QB, but that you get all the QBs of whatever team you pick. And... 2) the initial (snake) draft order as based upon the 'power rankings' of each team.
Zooty
And... 2) the initial (snake) draft order as based upon the 'power rankings' of each team. And where do the "power rankings" come from? Why not just the same order as the NFL draft for 2006?
Zooty
Thanks, zooty. We'll try to get you either the Jets or Ravens. My preferences at this point would be Texans Titans Jets Ravens

Youre Going Down
McBoog has not been on since Saturday. I just sent him an e-mail. If there is anyone lurking out there in the shadows, that wants either SD or Hou, speak up. I am a Cardinal homer, but was a Charger fan before they came. I have a LT2 jersey to show my 2nd team loyalty. If you really wouldn't mind taking Houston, I would take the Chargers but its your call. joethin
Hello everybody, I come in peace. As a newbie I thought I’d pay some of my dues and took the liberty of putting together a summary of all posts regarding the rules. Please correct anything I might have misinterpreted. I have made comments and questions in Italics. Hope this helps. Roster Requirements Starters – 8 Players 1 Quarterback TMQB 1 Running Back 2 Wide Receivers 1 Tight End 1 Flex (WR/RB/TE) 1 Kicker TMPK - Homer 1 Defense TMDT – Homer Bench – 10 Players (No min-max?) Trades and Free Agent Acquisitions Every owner will be allowed 3 transactions every week. Both Free Agent acquisitions and trades are considered transactions. A single trade involving multiple players is considered one transaction. Trades The trading period begins at the conclusion of week 1 of the NFL regular season and continues through the conclusion of the NFL’s week 10. Any owner can trade with any other owner Monday through Thursday (Maybe TUE to FRI? – MNF) but a trade cannot put an owner above the 18-man roster maximum. (i.e. an owner must rid himself of a player if he expects to get two players for one. This can often be done by trading a scrub to the other owner in addition to the desired player). Free Agency Waiver rules, worst to first. Up to three rounds. In addition: 1 Homer if in the top 25 2 Homers from 26 to 50 – Lose Round 16 3 Homers from 51 to Whatever – Lose Round 15 & 16 Are this overall rankings or per position? Draft Power Rankings 18 Rounds (7 Homer players quota – Does that include the TMDT & TMPK? ) I still don’t know how to bring all the ideas into a summary. Payouts $25 from each Team (32) - that gives us $800. $100 between MFL and the pay pal fees (unless a league this big costs more) leaves us with $700 I imagine that we'd follow regular NFL rules for playoffs, starting in week 13.... $350 for Superbowl Winner $150 for Superbowl Loser $50 for Conferance Champ losers ($100 total) $25 for Division/Wildcard Round Losers ($100 total) Schedule I’m still a little dry on the subject. We mirror the NFL schedule.... and than we do not need to worry about byes.... I guess this brings into question how many times you play the people in your division.... hmmmm.... well, whatever the case... if we work with byes and have each bye coincide with their respective homer's byes... that could work. Okay... I put together a schedule last night that allows all teams to have their respective byes... but also allows them to play everyone in their division twice. Because of the way the schedule is set up (lot of cross conference games as we were forced to due this because of the byes)... I figure we will have division leaders go to the playoffs w/o wildcards and no bye week... I like the bye week but to do this... four team will have been awarded a bye... so in each conference.... 1 plays 4 and 2 plays 3. The winners of these games go to conference championships. And the winners of those games go to the Superbowl. This will cover weeks 13 and 14 with the Superbowl in week 15 I guess if we wanted to use byes.... we could.. and would push towards week 16... guess it is time to get a board set up... if anybody wants a copy of the schedule I made, PM me. If you don't dig it, you are more than welcome to give it a try. 5.1 Schedule The length of the regular season will be 12 weeks. Weekly Schedules will mirror that of the NFL team. The entire season lasts 16 weeks, with 12 weeks of regular season games, three weeks of playoffs, and one superbowl. The Regular Season lasts through week 12 and there will be double headers on week 1 which will include the week 13 matchup, week 2 (includes week 14) week 10 (includes week 15) week 11 (includes week 16) and week 12 (includes week 17). Duchess Jack
And where do the "power rankings" come from? Why not just the same order as the NFL draft for 2006? Because that does not always reflect the teams fantasy value. So, I pitched that we take the top 5 players on every team give them a value based on a 'master list' which might as well be DMDs. I haven't paid my dues yet - so I've yet to see the one just posted (that's something for tomorrow). Anyway... let's say it is a top 200. The first overall player is worth one point whereas the 12th overall player is worth twelve points. Any players that are rated higher than 200 (assuming that is how high the list goes) will be assigned a value of 200. Once we rate the top five players on every team we will find out the team average and draft using that (highest average drafts first). This will be for the first round and we'll snake after that. I need to start trying to work out my issues with Houston and the whole NFL thing. Maybe I will get a theropist and work on forgiving Adams...........naw, screw it, he is still at fat rat beastard prick, with bad hiar. But I am good with the Texans. On a side note, I am out all next week (week of 4th of July), most likely without computer access. If something so important happens, that I must be contacted (i don't, maybe the start giving away free cheerleaders or something) my cell phone is on the MFL site for HFA, we have seveal owners here, that are also HFA owners. I have the Lions (my true homer team) in 32 More Homers and the Raiders in HFA. This one has an interesting twist (and since both west coast teams are spoken for) i would be interested in the Titans, Mainly because i'd get to play RB twice and it would ensure me of a win the week after i get clobbered by the Colts. My Bolts are going to kick your Raiders arrrrse twice, and then my Texans are gonna kick your Titans arrrrse twice. I am going to particular enjoy kicking the Titans arrrrse, because Bud Adams is fat rat beastard prick, with bad hair. Then I am going to make you walk the plank, and all that other pirate stuff.
