Bronco Billy
How is it possible that this guy thinks he's the **** and the greatest athlete ever created, yet he's such a portable dishwasher, whining about a QB swearing at him & bullying him, and then crying about writers picking on him even though he's such a great guy. Is it really possible that he has no clue what a horse's patoot he is? Can he be that self-absorbed that despite his all his previous actions he thinks everyone should love him & worship him? That would be truly astounding that he has not even the faintest clue of what an ass he is.

MrTed46
He is top 10 WR of all time IMO (if not higher). He can be a sissy also but he is an athlete
The Vatican Hitsquad
He is top 10 WR of all time IMO (if not higher). He can be a sissy also but he is an athlete Top 10 of all time? What do you base that on, are his stats that high? I'm serious as I'm too lazy to look it up, but a few months ago I did look up his stats compared to Marvin Harrison and TO has only twice bested Harrison in any stat during their entire career (IIRC). If his stats aren't in the top 10, what ar you basing it on? His personality has destroyed 2 locker rooms so far, and he has never gotten a team to the Superbowl, let alone win one. cliaz
He is terrible. I can't wait until he no longer is in the NFL and we don't have to listen to him.

The Vatican Hitsquad
Missed the Super Bowl 2 years ago, huh? Oh yeah, I forgot he played in the playoffs leading to that game and was responsible for them making it single handedly. Nothing the rest of the Eagle team did to accomplish that feat without him on the field, right?

Nothing the rest of the Eagle team did to accomplish that feat without him on the field, right? I wasn't the one that made the false claim, my friend. I just provided a fact that your hate for Owens apparently created a memory lapse. And there is no denying that PHI went to 3 straight NFC championship games & lost all 3 before they finally made it to the Super Bowl with Owens on the team. There is also no denying that PHI before Owens arrived was a bottom 1/2 of the NFL passing team, and after he arrived PHI's passing game leapt into the top 10 & PHI was a much more complete team. Now, hate him all you want for his stupid antics on the field, his whing & crying off the field, for throwing seemingly every team mate he's ever played with under the bus, for ruining 2 locker rooms at the least, for his gigantic self aggrandizement, or his being completely devoid of a conscious or humility - but there's no denying that on the field while the ball is in play that the guy makes a very large impact. Randall
Donovan and I were friends. Just because I dragged his whole family in the media to get my money what's wrong with that? Isn't that friends are for? If you can use your buddies and their families once in a while why be friends?

Big Score 1
I wasn't the one that made the false claim, my friend. I just provided a fact that your hate for Owens apparently created a memory lapse. And there is no denying that PHI went to 3 straight NFC championship games & lost all 3 before they finally made it to the Super Bowl with Owens on the team. IRRC, didn't Owens miss every single play off game leading up to the Superbowl? If I'm right, then, while there's no denying Owens helped Philly get to the playoffs, Owens did not contribute anything towards Philly's advance through the playoffs and their eventual Superbowl berth. I was saying he absolutely had NOTHING to do with the Eagles making the Superbowl. Zero. He didn't play in the playoffs at all, did he? He missed the entire playoff run and the Eagles got over that hump they couldnt the 3 previous years without him stepping foot onto the field. So, how did his being on the team get them to the Superbowl? You aren't really saying his name being on the team roster contributed to a 27-14 win over the Vikings and a 24-10 win over the Falcons, are you? And when he did make it onto the field to play in the Superbowl, they lost anyway. So please, what "false claim" had I made? And I think your "fact" really is defined more as "opinion". He is good, but really, his accomplishments are nothing more than disrupting locker rooms. He has rarely bested Marvin Harrison in any type of stat, so regardless of how the Eagles ranked in their passing game when he was there, it didn't amount to much more than they had without him did it? Sure I hate him for his antics. But I question his placement as being "the best WR in the NFL" based soley off the Stats, accomplishments and leadership. And when you look at those, he comes out as nothing more than a really good WR with a gigantic mouth that has destroyed 2 locker rooms. godtomsatan
TO ranks #22 all-time in receptions, #20 in receiving yards, #4 in receiving touchdowns.
The Vatican Hitsquad
TO ranks #22 all-time in receptions, #20 in receiving yards, #4 in receiving touchdowns. the TDs surprises me, honestly. But Here is Marvin Harrison's stats: #6 all time receptions #10 all time recieving yards #3 all-time receiving td's #32 all time yardage And this is my point. TO is real good, but no where near the best WR in the game today. Especially when compared to Harrison who is higher ranking than Owens in every category after both being drafted in 1996. Oh yeah, plus he has class. Edited July 20, 2006 by The Vatican Hitsquad

Bronco Billy
Okay, so PHI won more games than anytime in thier history and jumped in one year from a completely mediocre passing team to one of the top in the NFL, and took the next step of going from 3 straight failures in the NFC championship to going to the Super Bowl because Owens did NOTHING for the team. Gotcha.

Gotcha. The Eagles were the #1 seed in the NFC the two years prior to Owens arriving. And they were the #1 seed the first year he was an Eagle. No doubt the Eagles were a more complete team with Owens when he wasn't being a tool. But the fact is that the team won two playoff game without Owens to get to the Superbowl.
