TilsterBearz
Hey all, I'm in a 10 team league re-draft and I am picking 4th. Lucky me!! Our pt system for QB is 6pt for a td and 1pt for 25 yds passing. RB/WR is 6pt and 1 for every 10. NOw should I be looking at getting Manning in the 4th spot or should I go for Portis or even grab a top tier WR like Smith? Whatever I choose will reflect my 2nd and 3rd pix on the way back.... ANy suggestions would be great!! thanks Tilster
GoNads
Portis or Tiki should be your choice (depending on who you prefer).

yo mama
Barber if you get PPR. Portis if you don't.

Big Country
Tiki or Portis (as noted, Portis unless you get PPR, then Tiki). Though I truly do fear what you may do in the next few rounds if you were seriously considering Manning or Smith with the 4th pick.
TilsterBearz
No PPR. I was throwing manning in the mix because of the 6pts per td where most mock drafts/ratings are based on 3 or 4 pts for TD. As for Smith I wouldn't draft 4th but I just thought I would toss in a WR for fun... Edited July 28, 2006 by TilsterBearz

But unless Manning is the ONLY QB who is getting 6 pts per TD, then his value relative to other QBs isn't affected much. Moreover, the 6pt vs. 4pt TD scoring system is generally a red herring when valuing QBs versus other positions. TilsterBearz
What he said alright thanks guys, looks like I'll go with Portis and then hope for a top 6 WR in the 2nd...
yo mama
Don't sweat it. If you can't find a top 5 WR its because someone let a killer #2 RB fall to you in the 2nd. Either way, you win. Just don't get drunk and F*** things up on draft day.
Ralph Furley
I would take Portis without a hesitation.
wildbluefan
I agree with Mr FURLEY, Portis all the way, he is poised for a big year in Wash !
Doc Holliday
Another vote for Portis.

Take Alexander or LT if they are there otherwise Tiki or Portis. If you are considering Steve Smith one of the top 3 could be there. LJ LT Alexander Tiki Portis would be my top 5. Footballjoe
Portis. Stay away from Manning at the #4 pick. In fact let someone else use their draft pick on him while you get quailty rb's and wr's and get a qb in the 5-8 round.
cheezhed
I also have 4th pick in 2 of 3 locals. I plan to go Portis in both, unless someone in top 3 pulls a newbie and takes someone other than the top 3.
KUBJPO01
I'd take Portis there. Tiki getting older and losing goallines to Jacobs. Wash. has stated no more RBBC and Portis will be main guy. He's had a year to learn offense and should be good for 10-14 Td's and 1300.
TilsterBearz
Well if the big 3 don't fall then Portis is the man!! and With any luck I won't be drunk until the late rounds!!!
