Codwagon
ok, give me a circumstance when rape deserves less of a sentence than possessing pictures. A man being forcibly raped by a fellow prisoner.
untateve
I can only imagine the pain experienced by the children in those pictures. Some actions are horrific and should be punished severely. However, I am a reasonable man. Therefore, I could see my way clear to sentencing tthis individual to only 5 years per picture to be served consecutively. Now he only has a 100-year sentence. Azazello1313
When a child molestor is raped. ahh, that old prison moral code....where selling kids crack or killing their momma is ok, but having nekkid pictures of them requires extermination. of course, the terrible irony of that statement is that the vast majority of adult child sexual offenders WERE raped or otherwise violated themselves as children. skylive5
I wish that the courts would quite pandering to these worthless slugs and start giving sentences that fit the crime. Child molestation...in any form... punishable by death. Period. Does anyone really thing that he was just 'looking' at those pictures? In his mind he was living what was depicted in those pictures. He wanted to do what was in those pictures. And eventually he would have if he hasn't already. In addition, after reading the article, it seems to me that we only have his word that he just had the pictures and has never done anything else criminal. I have strong doubts that is true. From Asz's article: These facts should weigh in your calculus, for good or ill: He is 52 years old, married, a father of four, an award-winning teacher of world history. He has no criminal record of any sort. The state offered no evidence that he has ever created pornography or improperly touched a minor. And I agree. If you can't show proof you can't convict. However.... they had proof of child pornography.. and that is a crime against a child. Fry the f'er and then you don't have to worry about past or future crimes being committed.

I've always stated that all child molesters or people who even own child pron should be killed. I find crimes against children to be the most disgusting form of action any human being can do. Pretty much how I feel about child porn too. Worth noting this guy has four kids...... that is what stood out in my mind.

rbmcdonald
What we really need to do is get rid of the red-tape and all of those stupid technicalities and time consuming trials. I say just have one person in every city. Anyone accused of a crime, just bring the accused into the room, the prosecutor gets 10 minutes, the accused gets 10 minutes, then the guy makes a decision, and it is carried out immediately. If the guy wants the accused’s nads cut of, fine. I have dibs on being the guy in Austin, you all can fight over the other cities. The Florida Legislature wanted to get tough on crime, so they passed this law. http://www.drugpolicy.org/news/04_28_04paey.cfm This guy was a first time offender. He would have received a lesser sentence if he had robbed an old lady, beat her up and left her in the gutter, which he could not do, because he is in a wheelchair. But that is not what is important, what is important is that the Florida legislator was able to do something concrete for the moral outrage of the day. By the way, last I heard this guys appeal was denied. Anyone know if Jeb’s daughter is doing 25 years? http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2002/0...noelle-bush.htm
