In one of them my sweet 16 is intact except for Maryland, but there is no harm there because everybody lost on Maryland. In my other one I had Maryland as well .... and I had Notre Dame upsetting Oregon ... but the rest of my sweet 16 is in tact. 33 correct picks on both brackets in the lead by 2 games ... however, way to early to predict who will win. Took the upsets that didn't come through (except for VCU) and the upsets I didn't pick did come through. Second round so far 5-3. I've lost 4 of my sweet 16 teams so far, 3 from today's games (Maryland, VCU, and Washington St) and 1 from the first round (GA Tech). I see VCU did take it to OT. Moved into 1st place with the morning games, but did lose one of my elite 8 teams in Wisconsin. Also Kentucky and Texas look pretty bad as well. I entire rest of my bracket is still alive, i.e. I did not have UM, VT or UT winning in the next round. Bracket 2, 11 of my sweet 16 are in tact, lost UM, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, VT, UT. Hat Trick Posted March 20, 2007 Share Posted March 20, 2007 In my office pool I sit tied in 6th place with 50 entries total. I have 12 of the 16 sweet sixteen teams, all elite 8 and beyond. I got the Butler pick right, but missed the UNLV pick on this bracket, that would have landed me in 2nd right now. I have to hope for some upsets now as I have Pitt beating UCLA and Tenn beating OSU in the sweet sixteen. Final 4 is KU Florida Georgetown and A & M. Come on Vols and Panthers. I know more people would have picked UCLA to win so I really need Pitt to win, I'm sure theres quite a few that have OSU losing in the sweet sixteen or elite eight, but I'm rooting for it anyway. But what I'd like to see the most is USC beat UNC cause that would screw up a lot of brackets. I'm here in KC so big Gayhawk following here and you can bet 35 % of the brackets have them winning it all. Sucks but we don't do this online so we have no way to know how has what and such. Now it is a 3 game lead and I'm hanging on ... an OSU loss would have helped. I have a 2nd bracket in that same pool that is in 2nd but only 1 game ahead of the next team. Pretty much need everything to fall into place to win. Have 6/8 elite eight teams. Missed on North Carolina (Texas) and Memphis (Texas A&M). Have Florida, UCLA, Georgetown, and Texas A&M (out) in final 4. Then Florida over Georgetown in the final game. Can't believe it, but if all goes that way, I win. Just need to win 6 games. Only one point behind 1st place in Sportsbuff with NC as the champion. I'm in fifth place in Russ's Challenge with Florida as the Champion. I'm in 1st place in TOS's contest with Oh State as the Champion. I also used that bracket for a local. So all of my good times is going to end with probably only winning one of these things at the best. No given at all.
