rocknrobn26
Whoop, I did that 11 years ago. My darling growed up and moved away! I went to Dad's day, and SHE bought me shots! Her ID was the worst I ever saw, and she prolly had it 30 seconds after moving in! FWIW....we went to pick her up for Xmas break that year, and she cried! It's all a part of life I guess. Hang in there, Babe! rr26

Mark5
Went thru it 3 years ago.. Preach to her about drinking and driving.. Mine got her first and only DWI about 3 months into it (her fake ID was halfass but those bars let 'em in anyway..lol).. As stated above, went to pick her up afterwards and we all went clubbing together.. Its a bonding moment every cool parent goes thru... Donutrun Jellies
Just finished moving my first child into her dorm at UNC. Pretty somber here right now I know the feeling. My older daughter goes back for her sophomore year in two days ... Our good news on it is she's coming back for the draft of the flagship Jelly team, serving in her capacity as Asst. General Manager of Random Decision Making, so that will be fun ... and we're lucky -- campus isn't far so we go to see her games in the Fall and the Spring... Still, we miss having the munchkin underfoot within the Donutrun Empire. My advice? Learn to text message and get the unlimited plans. AtomicCEO
That's sad to hear, whoopaz. Enjoy the memories of raising a beautiful daughter for 18 years and passing on all the wisdom that you could. I'm sure that will come in handy tonight at a freshman rush party when she's funnelling her 12th beer and trying to decide whether or not to listen to the 100 drunken guys yelling at her to take her shirt off. But don't think about that.

Coffeeman
Good point to remember for those of us with youngins still runnin around with playdough on their hands. It goes so quickly, you have to try to enjoy each stage while you're in it. Even the poopy diapers/crayon on the walls/spilled milk/throwing up all night stages have their upsides - smiles, hugs, unbearably cute-caught-on-video moments...... Agreed - My oldest is 2 years away from going to College, and my youngest is 3 months old with a bunch in between. I enjoy each stage, EVERYDAY!
