i_am_the_swammi
Hadn't seen this posted, and its not a confirmed report, but...any Seahawks homers with some more detailed info? Seahawks | Hackett misses practice Wednesday Wed, 28 Nov 2007 16:51:56 -0800 Seattle Seahawks WR D.J. Hackett (ankle) missed the team's practice Wednesday, Nov. 28, and is out for at least a couple of weeks. It is possible he will miss the remainder of the regular season. bushwacked
First I've heard of it, but I really doubted he would only be out 2 weeks.

Randall
Holmgren did say he re injured the same ankle that cost him 6 weeks earlier.
Uncle Wiggy
I never root for any player to be hurt.. but as a Branch owner,
MTSuper7
I'd hate to cut Hackett if he'll be back at any point in the fantasy playoffs, but with the best possible scenario being out two weeks, that has him back in week 15. If he misses another game, that would mean he'll be back for week 16. I think I'm going to drop him to try to get another WR for playoff depth. This season has been brutal. Sturphy
Just dropped him in 3 leagues. He was a really nice Plaxico substitute for a few weeks there. Gage was still out there in 2 leagues. Scooped him up. Gonna roll the dice with Sidney Rice in the other one. Why not!?!?!!!
URLACHERisGOD
Looks like I'll be ridin' the Bobby Engram gravy train a bit longer.
Bill Swerski
Looks like I'll be ridin' the Bobby Engram gravy train a bit longer. Yeah, no kidding. I'm really glad that I held onto him.
myhousekey
Even if he's back in 2 weeks I'd have 0 confidence sticking him in my lineup during fantasy playoffs.

His first game back from the same injury earlier this season, he caught 8 for 101/1. I'd start him coming off that injury again. Its one thing to throw a guy out there in the FF regular season and possibly take a donut. I just wouldn't risk it in my FF playoffs (especially only after 2 weeks if the first time it took him 2 months to fully come back). But hey, thats just me. gilthorp
Picked up Burleson a few weeks ago, and have been praying that Hackett got hurt for the rest of the year.

So is this still speculation or did the above answer your prayers? Too bad for the hungry kid in Africa that got bumped.
Bill Swerski
With Branch back Burleson's a #3. Yep. Even with Engram in the slot, he'll still get more looks than Burleson at split end.
bushwacked
Yep. Even with Engram in the slot, he'll still get more looks than Burleson at split end. Burleson has yet to earn Matt's trust in running routes in the WCO. Hass threw an INT last week and Burleson got an earful on the sideline by the coaches. Seahawks21
Burleson was showing some promise about a month ago. He has since regressed. The light in his head is not on. He hadn't hurt us until last week, and Hasselbeck hadn't been shy about giving him the ball. Knowing how stubborn Matt is, he isn't going to look at Burleson unless he totally has to. Great returner, but what a waste of talent at WR. Just makes me sick. Wake up, idiot. Hackett's injury isn't related to his last one. His last was the 6-week high ankle, this is more of the basketball ankle sprain. He is in a boot, but the team is saying 2-3 weeks, not 4-6. Once he's back, if healthy, he will perform. Don't drop him.

Link? All the stuff I've seen is along these lines: Seattle's revolving door at wide receiver took another turn as wide receiver D.J. Hackett will miss at least two weeks after reinjuring the right ankle he hurt in the season opener.

Bonehand
With Branch back Burleson's a #3. That depends on whether or not you are in a return points league. Which YOU ARE.
xtra
Ben Obomanu looked like someone Hasslebeck was comfortable throwing the ball to,I wouldnt be surprised to see him get more action than expected.
