Atlanta Cracker
Link On Monday, Dimitroff hinted he also may have the option of trading the No. 3 pick. Only two weeks after he said he had no offers for the pick, Dimitroff said he has had interest from other teams. "Right now there's nothing concrete at all," Dimitroff said of talks with teams interested in moving up in the first round. "We've obviously gotten phone calls," Dimitroff said. "I don't want to necessarily mention who they are right now, but there's definitely been some interest." There has been speculation that last week's retirement announcement by Baltimore quarterback Steve McNair may lead the Ravens to try to move up from their No. 8 spot to take Ryan. Asked if McNair's retirement could affect the interest in quarterbacks in the first round, Dimitroff said, "I've seen it written that it will. I'm not necessarily sure. Nothing has been indicated to me otherwise."
Savage Beatings
Draft week posturing. We didn't have any interest earlier, but now there are a whole bunch of teams knocking down our door to trade up for our pick... seriously! You better move quickly Baltimore, or we'll deal with someone else.
T_bone65
For the Ravens sake I hope they do get Ryan

Jackass
I don't really see how mcnair's retiring impacts the ravens strategy at all as many seem to be claiming. There was really no way he was going to play more than 1 more year anyway.
Atlanta Cracker
Yeah I agree there probably isn't much to it but thought the Baltimore bit was interesting. If Dallas really wants Mcfadden though it might be an option for them.

piratesownninjas
I think the Falcons only trade their pick in the first if Glenn Dorsey is off the board. I think Dorsey is the cornerstone that Mike Smith will want to build upon, and no way will they pass him up.
myhousekey
From PFT SAINTS STILL LOOKING TO MOVE UPPosted by Mike Florio on April 22, 2008, 9:39 a.m. We expressed a little skepticism regarding the assertiong of Falcons G.M. Thomas Dimitroff that he is getting calls from teams who are interested in moving into the No. 3 spot in round one. As it turns out, the Falcons have gotten calls. One of them came from the New Orleans Saints, who were linked last week to the St. Louis Rams at No. 2. The Saints are believed to be hoping to move up in an effort to land LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey. They currently hold the 10th overall pick in the draft. As a practical matter, however, the Saints should refrain from actually pulling the trigger until the Falcons are on the clock with Dorsey on the board. Otherwise, the Saints would be risking that someone else will move ahead of them to get Dorsey first.
kingfish247
From PFT Hard to believe that division rivals would be willing, or able, to agree on such a significant deal.
Big John
Hard to believe that division rivals would be willing, or able, to agree on such a significant deal. Most recent between disision rivals was Bledsoe form NE to BUF. Though trading draft picks within the division is less difficult than trading specific players. dirtdickens
Did anyone else here Clayton on Mike and Mike saying Atlanta looked at trading the rest of their picks to have 2 picks in the top 10?
muck
Did they call Carl Peterson?
CaptainHook
I foresee very little movement in the top 10.
Avernus
Did anyone else here Clayton on Mike and Mike saying Atlanta looked at trading the rest of their picks to have 2 picks in the top 10? that would be just plain stupid considering they have several needs... this is the ass backwards approach..
