The letter I got said it would be a $24 fee payable by cashiers check or money order only. Get up to the counter and it turns out it's $25 and they also take cash and checks. When I show the guy the letter he says; "Yeah that's a mistake, we need to fix that" He's ready to snap my picture and he says; "You can smile if you want to" Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When I have to go there for anything, I show up and take the number and then whatever area I have to wait in, I'll go up to the manager or one of the DMV employees and give them my cell number and they call me when I'm five numbers away from my turn. The Irish Doggy Posted April 23, 2010 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Timing is everything. I haven't waited longer than about 30 minutes the last couple times I've been to the Ohio DMV. Never go on a Saturday unless you are willing to be there right when they open. Otherwise I take early/ llate lunches to deal with the DMV on a weekday.
