on the broad generalizations and name calling. There are people on either side who add to the problem and you come across as willing to not only do your part in adding to the problem - but also to bare the weight for others who might not want to go in that direction. You are a titan to your brand of politics, sir.

As someone who alligns themself with conservatives a great deal more so than with liberals I have decided to pick this apart.

 

First paragraph: Incidentally, there are many liberals who are very intelligent people and even communists who are extremely intelligent people, theior views and values are incredibly different than those that you espouse. For example, we could all agree that political theorists/leaders including Stalin, Mao, and Castro are of an intellect that would have to be considered above average. They had to implement a system of government, overthrowing a long entrenched political system. In Cuba, though many people don't like it, the system has survived for many years, even with heavy, Draconian, economic sanctions from the US. The USSR ultimately collapsed, but a great deal of it was due to the sheer size of the country, a vast array of ethnic and religius groups that a centrally planned government was not equipped to handle, the sheer complexities of that country tore it assunder. But, in order for any of these systems to operate for the amount of time that thye did required a great deal of genius and ingenuity.

 

Second paragraph: Your arguments are so strong that you have to leave for a month to engineer a reply. You then state that their will be no substance to the replies to your post, so why would you even bother to come back and reply or to even read them, seems like a waste of time. You make the ssumption that the replies will attack you personally, well with all of the "substance" in your post, that is really the only thing they can attack. Doesn't "betting" or gambling if you will go against the tennets of your seemingly conservative Christian POV. I don't think that the patients are running the asylum at the tailgate, they have just as much of a right to express their opinions as you. All you can do is try to provide some substantive arguments to try and sway their opinion. Their are many people here who will defend conservative ideology, they just have a tendency to do it in a less obtuse manner than you. Political Correctness has gone too far in my opinion and people are beginning to rebel against, some examples of this from you would have been nice to add some substance.

 

Pargraph Three: Yes, people are growing weary of the politics that are driving this admin, the resurgence of immigration reform in response to the new arizona law is a good example of this. Rightfully so, environmentla groups are getting upset that this issue has now superceeded the environmentla bill before congress. And, the admin's willingness to lose support of the enviro bill to help Reid's election campaign shows just how politcal this admin is (btw, I am definitely not in favor of the enviro bill and am glad to ee it derailed.) They are not the least experienced, that would have been Sarah Palin. Don't blame the dems for being in power, there were great failures by the previous admin that helped catapult the dems into the majority and the idiocy of having Palin as a VP candidate helped propel Obama into the white house, repubs fault, again. I think it i far fetched o t say that "none of the admin has performed in the orivate sector"... There are many people that have worked in the private sector in finance/banking, law, etc... I am looking forward to November as well, but think that we need more radical change than what we will see. We need to not only vote out te liberals in office, but ALL of the conservatives as well. They are just as beholden to the special interest and the groups that put them into office. They are career politicians with no moral compass outside of what is dictated to the m by those that support them and get them elected.

 

Now, when you come back, please, post something citing some facts. I know you are going to pull some of this apart because I don't offer "substance" behind some of my charges, but really don't feel like taking the time at this juncture to pull up any citations. If you would like to pull out a couple parts you disagree with, i will reply to it within a month, with "substance", so that I have ample time to do "research".

A Plague of ‘A’ Students

 

America has made the mistake of letting the A student run things. It was A students who briefly took over the business world during the period of derivatives, credit swaps, and collateralized debt obligations. We’re still reeling from the effects. This is why good businessmen have always adhered to the maxim: “A students work for B students.” Or, as a businessman friend of mine put it, “B students work for C students—A students teach.”

 

The other objection to A students is what it takes to become one—toad-eating. A students must do what teachers and textbooks want and do it the way teachers and texts want it done. Neatness counts! A students are very busy.

 

Such brisk apple-polishing happens to be an all-too-good preparation for politics. This is because a student’s success at education and a politician’s success at politics are measured mostly by input rather than outcome. Yes, one got elected. Yes, the other became class valedictorian. But to what end? It can take decades to measure the outcome of an education. Did the A student at architecture school become a respected partner at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, or did he become Albert Speer? Likewise with politics. Did Woodrow Wilson’s meddling in Europe wreak havoc upon the globe? We wouldn’t know for 20 years. Did Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal totally destroy the fabric of American society? We’re not absolutely certain even now. Meanwhile Woodrow Wilson, FDR, the class valedictorian, and Albert Speer were inputting like crazy.

 

Thus in America nobody loves a smart-ass. What’s interesting about Obama is that he didn’t start out being one. Lips (and academic records) are sealed at Occidental College and Columbia, but Obama doesn’t seem to have been an A student as an undergraduate. He learned to “make it or fake it” at Harvard Law where he graduated magna cum laude. Worse than an A student is somebody pretending to be one, witness Al Gore .

Hey look, some real violence.

 

The fight over Senate Bill 1070 took to the streets of downtown Phoenix, as riot Police were called to the Capitol to control an unruly group of protesters.

 

Witnesses say a group protesting against SB1070 began to fight with a man who was for the controversial immigration bill.

 

Police tried escorting that man away from the scene, fearing for his safety, when they too came under attack by people throwing items, including water bottles.

 

A young man was arrested during that melee.

 

Things calmed down moments later, but riot Police remained at the capital to maintain some sort of order.
