muck
Good question: My criteria ... "if I could have their entire collection and be stuck with only this play list for the rest of my life, which ten bands do I pick" ... in no order: Dave Matthews Band Fleetwood Mac Edited August 11, 2010 by muck
Chavez
But it is hard to pick just 10 . . . Funny, I was having a hard time justifying 10.

'canes2004
Sisters Of Mercy Nice! Been a hugh fan for years. Severely under rated band.

Chavez
The Murphy's are lots of fun, but they ain't a patch on the Pogues. JMHO.
Bier Meister
I don't think we've done a thread quite like this before. I'm not talking about the ones you consider the "greatest" rock bands, or most important, or whatever. just the ones that have come to be your personal favorites over the years. tough to pare down to 10. the last two to get cut were Television and Wilco. The Murphy's are lots of fun, but they ain't a patch on the Pogues. JMHO. i enjoy the pogues as well.

TimC
I'm afraid to post here as I have no idea (ref Van Halen post) what a rock vs rockabilly, vs folk, vs metal, etc. is! Can't we just say "Favorite Groups/singers/musicians/what the flock ever"????? I need to lay down now. My favorite flock ever is, of course, A Flock of Seagulls. Dude. rajncajn
Funny, I was having a hard time justifying 10. For me it would be much easier to pick 10 from the "classig" era & 10 from the modern. I know I'll leave someone out, but here goes... no particular order U2 Beatles Rolling Stones (shoosh Az) Police Led Zepplin Eagles Bob Marley & the Wailers (reggae, I know, but I want them on my list) Alice in Chains Foo Fighters Pearl Jam Radiohead Soundgarden Santana Beasie Boys yeah, I know I can't count, but it's my list & i don't care.
