detlef
All in all, I'm happy with what's likely going to go down. Mind you, it would help if UConn loses. We get Auburn v OU, which is the title game that everyone wants. TCU gets a shot at a legit Big 10 team who should be plenty motivated. None of this, "They hoped to get to the title game but had to settle for the Rose Bowl" crap or anything like that. Wisconsin should be ready to go and TCU should be for obvious reasons. Sure, they were probably hoping for a shot at the NC game. But in their hearts, they know that they were going to get passed up. And they need to prove to everyone they belong. So we'll get to see. Hopefully WVU wins the Big East so the Orange Bowl takes them (my guess is that they'll pass on UConn if that's the choice). So the two weakest teams get stuck in the game that nobody cares about. That leaves Stanford v Big 12 Champ. Which would be far more interesting, I think, than splitting those games up.

That's the only thing up in the air at this point.
untateve
I know there's about a qtr left in the Auburn game but given that it's 42-14, why is Newton still in the game?

GWPFFL BrianW
Probably because the drive overlapped from the 3rd to the 4th quarter.

wildcat2334
Did I hear that correctly? Oregon is the favorite first line I have seen: Aub -2.5 total
millerx
first line I have seen: Aub -2.5 total 75 If I only had money!! I'd take that in a heartbeat! Auburn rolls (not in the tide way)!!
bigrocks
For the first time ever, I find myself pulling for the non-SEC team in the national title game.
GWPFFL BrianW
If I only had money!! I'd take that in a heartbeat! Auburn rolls (not in the tide way)!! I agree, -2.5 is easy money. Auburn rolls. If that d line plays half as good as they have vs Alabama and South Carolina, it is not gonna be pretty. We've already seen if the Oregon offensive line gets penetrated, they are completely inept on offense. And on the other side, Oregon stands no shot to stop Cam. Auburn 35 Oregon
Pope Flick
first line I have seen: Aub -2.5 total 75 WOW. UNDER!
detlef
So, I guess I'll wait until the SEC money pushes the spread to closer to a TD and then buy the money line on Oregon(which could be better than +200 if the spread moves like that). You may be right but you know, I've heard that a lot over the last several years and in each of those instances, I've been quite the opposite of disappointed. wildcat2334
looking forward to the game - should be as entertaining as they get. Oregon has the edge on defense and I think they end up getting more stops when it matters than Auburn Ducks 41 Aub

cre8tiff
Congrats to the Oregon Ducks, 2010 national champions whether they win this game or not. Sucks the cheaters even get to play in this game. If they somehow manage to win it, they cough up the trophy next year, anyway. wildcat2334
Expecting it to move to 5.5 to 6 by game time. I don't see that happening at all. Already gone from 2.5 to 3, I don't see it moving much at all - maybe 3.5 at most.

Bettors will be laying money on the SEC rep and the line should move up
