detlef
I'm always amused that the English accent is the default for any accent not easily done. If you're supposed to be French, Russian, or Latin American, then you talk in an appropriate accent. Ancient Greek? Italian? You speak with an English accent. BeeR
I can only think of TV examples offhand and both are Star Trek related (eg Patrick Stewart the allegedly French captain or Scotty, even tho I loved his character)

Watching that movie my father (who's from TN), made a comment to the effect of "Is there a reason Nic Cage is playing his character with a mentally handicapped accent?" (he may have used other words)

The Holy Roller
John Wayne as the centurian at the foot of the cross when Christ was being crucified in the movie "The Greatest Story Ever Told". That centurian must have been from the western Roman Empire.
bpwallace49
Hercules in New York starring Ahhhrnold. His accent was so bad they have another actor dubbed over him . . . and his lips dont match the words. Does it count as a bad accent if you get dubbed over?

Big Country
Con Air and Robin Hood were the first two to pop into my head. I think the Shannon Elizabeth one was kind of meant to be satirical just based on the whole type of movie that American Pie is.
Chavez
first thing that comes to mind is Keanu in that Bram Stoker Dracula movie a while back. what a freaking hack.
