Gopher
Karl, give me a call. Im a farmers agent and Ill tell you how to proceed. Just left you a voicemail... then remembered the game is on. Call me later, or tomorrow (no rush). The good news is that I was able to drive it home (still daylight, therefore no headlights required). Big Country
You'll want to take care of this quick, don't let it STAGnate. Glad you came out unhurt. I go through the same decision everytime I have to have service done on my truck. It's a '98 F-150 with just over 200K miles on it, and every time I have it in for service I keep asking myself is it worth it or not. I figure as long as it is just routine maintenenace that I;d be doing on any car anyway, I do it. In your case, I'd be giving serious consideration to replacing the vehicle, may actually be cheaper depending on what you look for. Heck, you could try find something in good condition but with higher miles and pick that car up cheaper than the repairs will cost you, no need to buy a brand new car or even a 2-3 year old car if your primary purpose is something that can get you from point A to point B.
