rush00756
Where does that spot belong? Is it the 7, 8 or 9 spot? Foster, Rice, McCoy, CJohnson,( Madden Curse) (top 3 QB) if you are willing to take one then. Top 3 QB is safe in the first round. I know there is depth though. And many people wait for the QB and WR, so Calvin Johnson may not fit the bill either. Matthews is going to get the carries, but is brittle. CJ1k or CJ2K? MJD and his holdout? I think it is around the 8 spot, what say you guys?
delfamdelfam
Foster, Rice, McCoy, Rodgers, Mathews, CJ2K, Mathews. So yeah, I would say right around the 8th or 9th pick is where you wouldn't want to pick.
Scooby's Hubby
Under 4pt/passing TD rules, I think 5,6,7 are stinkholes. I have won leagues from all spots, though, even 12th. It's not where you are but what you do with it, not to mention free agent savvy goes a long way.

bostonsoxandy
Real leagues do auctions. No one just gets to have a tier-1 RB while others don't because of, well, luck.
BeachBum
Foster, Rice, McCoy, Rodgers, Mathews, CJ2K, Mathews. So yeah, I would say right around the 8th or 9th pick is where you wouldn't want to pick. Well you probably don't want #7 either if you're expecting Mathews to still be there. The Hellion
Foster, Rice, McCoy, Rodgers, Mathews, CJ2K, Mathews. So yeah, I would say right around the 8th or 9th pick is where you wouldn't want to pick. In this scenario, I would probably take Mathews at #
tazinib1
I have the 1.7 in the Interboard League draft (Huddle is the defending Champions ) and I was sick to my stomach when I found out. But, to my surprise, I've landed a decent squad so far. 1.7 Aaron Rodgers 2.6 Darren Sproles 3.7 Jeremy Maclin 4.6 Aaron Hernandez 1PPR for RB/WR/TE with a 1-2RB/3-4WR/1-2TE starting requirement But historically, for me that is, the 1.7 has been a death blow for me. WashingtonD
I just did a 1.07 draft, definitely not my favorite spot, but as always it depends on the competition. This was for PPR. I'd rather 1.7 than 1.8 or 1.9 I think....but 1.01-1.05 look like best and then I like the 1.12, 1.11, 1.10. Last would be 1.7, 1.8, and finally 1.9 would be my "stinkhole" slot 1.07 7. WashingtonD
Don't want to change the topic of thread - but PPR scoring, only have to start 1 RB...everyone loaded up early and I wasn't willing to, happy to capture the WR value throughout. I'm sure some trading/free agency will be in my future Edited August 2, 2012 by WashingtonD
Kris N
the 9 spot is always the worst (in a 12 team league). all the studs and "safe" first rounders are gone. you are left to choose between talented guys with big question marks, take gambles on unproven guys with potential, and try to guess which guys will be there for you at #4 in round 2. at 7, you can get lucky and have someone fall to you (like with Rodgers and CJ2K in this thread). at 8, you at least get first crack at the "leftovers" of round 1. at 9, you are just screwed. MTSuper7
Foster, Rice, McCoy, Calvin, Rodgers... Those seem like the only locks. Including Mathews as a no-brainer (and CJ2K) are puzzling. Each has some concerns. Yet as far as workload is concerned they are going to be as heavily used as any RBs. And at this point, MJD is a risk, even if he reported to camp tomorrow. Holdout players are notoriously fragile getting back into fame shape. So I guess 8 seems like the stink hole. Brees is safe at 8 if you want to go QB. Fitz is probably safe in terms of having a high floor, though plenty of question marks with the QB play there. Graham is a safe pick with a high floor, just feels too high for a TE, but he looks like more of a sure thing than most of the top tier WRs there. Yeah, it looks like a muddy mess down at 9-12. And with WR depth being pretty substantial, I love the 1-3 slots for starting strong with RB-WR and best available in the 3rd.
osu1322
I'm in a 16 team league atm and there is nothing worse than drafting 1.10 to 1.13..... Just like in the 1.9 in a 12 team league, you have no idea who's going to be there for your first and second rd picks... It's hard to work a draft where you have no idea who your picks are going to be. It's also a very shallow league so people who have question marks tend to drop like skydivers... I'm actually curious if I'm able to pick up AP in the 2nd or 3rd rd.
