Cowboyz1
Just curious if there are any ramifications that could effect nfl games in the short or long runs. I cant think of anything only because for the most part the NFL is privatized. Anyone have any incite here.
Big John
There are ramifications for games involving the service academies, as funds are restricted for those. Otherwise, other college football games and the NFL do not rely on federal funds to run the games (other tax sources run most of the stadiums though). Only items are that you won't see the Air Force flying over the stadiums.

Completely stupid and probably designed to make this all look more painful, as the service acadamies have their own income not derived from tax payers just the same as any university's football program. Yes tuition is paid by the branches, but that has been paid and should fall under the bill that guaranteed servicemen and women would be compensated. But more importantly, they also do have ticket sales and merchandise that makes college football a money maker that pays for other sports at every other university. Cancel the Army-Navy game? All that will do is confirm what this all is, political theater.

Tripleshot
Traffic might be better getting to the game in DC during the shutdown.

Scorcher
Fortunately the Football Hall of Fame is not government funded, so the NFL should be okay. One thing though I am sure there will be no flyovers.
