Is Alfred Morris done as a legit RB this season?

Nope, especially with Jones and Thompson there. Hard to own a Redskins' RB right now.

From a fantasy perspective, RB seems to be somewhat of a fickle position, in terms of guys losing their jobs (or at least touches). The RB hierarchy on many teams is fairly fluid, and is based on a lot of factors. Who has the hot hand, who is better in pass-protection, who can avoid fumbling the ball, etc.

In Morris' case, Jones is simply more explosive, at this point in their respective careers. So, unless there is another factor (pass-pro, ball security, etc.) that gives Morris an advantage over the younger guys, it appears that he's no longer the "primary" guy. At least in terms of productivity.

Seems to happen a lot, particularly with RB's who somewhat won the starting job out of nowhere to begin with. Morris wasn't on many people's radars the year he took the job in Washington... it was almost a situation where he won the job by default. Now, the Skins finally have somebody who appears to be better than him, to put it simply. At the very least, Jones is more capable of making a big play, it seems.

I can't help but wonder if C.J. Anderson is the next guy to follow that path. Won the job when Ball and Hillman were both dinged up last year, and some of his production was a result of the Broncos' passing game. Now, the passing game is struggling, and the run game is nowhere to be found, either. I'm not sure Anderson will ever be close, production-wise, to what we saw last year.

I drafted him 3rd round...34th pick and I had a funny feeling then. I can't say hind sight is 20/20 when I had a gut feeling it wasn't going to work out. It's hard for me to drop him in a 16 team league, but this week will make the decision for me. He's just sitting on the bench with me starting Lacy and Ingram.

I really can't believe I drafted him. I've always been against the redskins backs in the past. Then I went against better judgement and drafted him.

Rbbc are fantasy killers most of the time.

I can relate to this , I drafted Clinton Portis his last and worst year. I was hesitant; one big reason I did it was because of EOS. I have since learned that many factors are involved in choosing players.

I start looking at ease of schedule around week 5. Too hard to predict defenses in the offseason.

Well, lesson learned. Just have to go with the gut feeling next time. At least that way if it doesn't pan out, I won't have any regrets that I didn't listen to myself. The fact that his rushing total has declined each season since his break-out was also a warning I ignored.

Chris Thompson hurt his back. Matt Jones is out.

Alf gets a break here.

Well, that blows!
