pun
Like, within the first 5 or 6 weeks of the season? How did you know? Who was on the team? Which players made the team so dominant? Were they early draft picks, mid/late round sleepers, WW heroes, etc? Let's hear the story... And of course, did you end up winning? Did you go undefeated? boltnlava
no. even when I was 11&2 or something I always knew I was one crap week away from elimination. I always think this is the week the slide starts.
Finn5033
I've had many teams that dominated the entire regular season and then lost in the playoffs to inferior teams
Apothus
I had a public league last year, and I know everyone hears public and go ya sure that's easy. This league was the most competitive I've been in. I was 11 and 3 and was in 3rd place. I thought this was my title shot. Made the playoffs, won the semis, lost in the final game. Like bolt said, one crap week away
Shaft
I've had many teams that dominated the entire regular season and then lost in the playoffs to inferior teams I will never forget a few years ago. In a 16 team experienced league, I was super confident. I finished 10-3 2014: QB: Aaron Rodgers RB: M. Lynch WR1: Calvin Johnson WR2: AJ Green WR3: Emmanuel Sanders Flex: Alfred Morris DST: Patriots Bench noteworthy: K. Allen I lost in the semifinals 121-79. My highest scorer was my DST with 17 points. Six of my studs put up single digit games.
MikesVikes
in one league I play in everybody makes the playoffs. I've had the best team during the year on many occasions with unbelievable domination. Those teams have sometimes gotten beat be the worst team in the league in the first week of the playoffs. You can never say it's over until it's over.
kdko
Last year, yes. Marshall in the fifth, watkins in the 6th. Bortles, and DJ off waivers. Already was stacked with Julio/Forte/Ingram. Picked up Hightower and Ertz off waivers before heading into the championships. Easy win.
Profound
2012: Matt Ryan AP (2,097 yards and 12 tds) Marshawn (1600 yards and 9tds) Alfred Morris (rookie year 1600 and 13tds) Doug Martin (rookie year) Calvin Johnson (2000 and 5tds) Dez Bryant (1300 and 12 tds) This was a 12 team draft Had pick #12. Was hoping for one of AP or Calvin to fall and they both fell because AP was coming off the ACL injury. Couldn't believe it when the next round came around and Marshawn/Dez were there. Nothing else mattered. They were picking guys like CJ Spiller over AP...had to keep my poker face because this was a $1500 pot for 1st place league. Only lost 1 game that year. Also felt the same way last year when I landed Jamaal Charles, Dez, and Gronk. That didn't work so well.
stevegrab
Agree with most, first I'm not ever that optimistic, second being a dominant team even in the first 3-5 weeks doesn't mean a lot, you could be an injury away from a crap ending. Or you could just have an off week in the playoffs and lose. I might feel my team is going to be good, and finish well but even that is rare. Or maybe I've just never had a really good team (only 1 title in about 20 years).
irish
Every year,I feel that way about most of most teams in most leagues. Don't we all. LoL! Honestly, yes,I've had that happen many times and many times they have and at the very least were in they playoffs.
CowboysDiehard
Many moons ago, I subscribed to another service for the first time (still do, in addition to the huddle). That happened to be the year that Skip Hicks was supposed to be the starter for the Redskins. The team capsule told me to pass on Hicks, and instead wait until the end of the draft to get his backup...Steven Davis...who scored 25 TDs that year. I was able to pull this off in two of three leagues, and won both going away. I knew by week two or three I was pretty much unstoppable. faceplant
Yes, but not until Week 15 when my opponents players are done and I'm up at least 20. To be honest, I've had that feeling about a few teams that won it all, and I've had that feeling many more times about teams that eventually make me want to watch basketball all winter. Tripleshot
One of my leagues in 2010 I drafted Ray Rice, Calvin Johnson, Roddy White, and Arian Foster. Matt Ryan was my QB and I ended up with Brandon Lloyd also. Pretty much rolled over everyone from the start and it just continued all the way to the championship. demorrin
I feel like that this year. Completely dominated the draft IMO, and haven't made a pickup since. Currently 3-0. League is 14-team PPR: QB: Luck, Rivers RB: Hyde, Ingram, Riddick, C. Michael, Yeldon WR: A. Brown, A. Robinson, J. Matthews, Shepard TE: Walker, Ebron D/ST: Seahawks K: Gano

frenzal rhomb
used to but now with everyone on line with access to the same infor seems the entire leage ends up between 8-6 and 5-9 and it comes down to a crapshoot of tiebreakers as to who gets in.
