Jesus dude,  you really,  really hate to be wrong about anything don't you?  I'll hold any more reply on the subject until you're actually able to come back with anything whatsoever that says that Brees told him or anyone else for that matter,  that he was in fact going to retire prior to Sunday's game.

Just enjoy having fun with you Rajn.  I can care less if Brees retires or when he retires.

He single-handedly cost them that game.  Awful finish to a great career. Just awful!

They're probably not in the playoffs without him, certainly don't have the team turnaround they have over the past decade without him.

But sure, piss all over him and treat him like crap, did you lose a bet or something?

I expect that he will retire,  but Glazer never said that Drew told him that and of course Buck and Aikman will take what Glazer said as Gospel. I really don't think that Drew, considering how mindful he is about every detail of his career,  would announce his retirement thru Jay Glazer. But typical for those guys,  they want to be the one who breaks the story or make themselves out to be the guy in the know.

What Brees has said and has been saying all along is that he's not making any announcements because he doesn't want the game to be about him.

I'm so tired of the NFL insiders and their scoops which are wrong about 95% of the time, which they never explain how that reliable source is wrong so often.

Screw the people taking a crap on Brees, they're just jealous that their team didn't have such a great player to lead them to the promised land.

Not out of the realm of possibility. He has arguably the best collection of offensive talent around him in Evans, Godwin, Brown, Gronk, Brate, Jones and Fournette. An offensive line that kept him uber clean especially against the great front group from Washington and Saints this week. And that Bucs' defense is solid and very opportunistic.

But now we're down to the big boys! The Packers and Rodgers in cold Lambeau.  If they somehow pass that test, it'll likely be followed by the other worldly Chiefs or up and coming Bills with Allen.

Yes not sure how winning with "this squad" would be such an accomplishment for the greatest QB ever. The OL and defense are pretty good too, and he's got a very good coach. He didn't leave the Pats for some junk team without a chance to win.

Yes, which is exactly why the urine was free flowing!  It was just a measly double elimination survivor pool. My first loss, so not out yet but even with everyone else now.

You're dumb as F Steve.

So what you're saying is that old man Brady playing with an entirely new set of weapons, new offensive line, and new coaches in a different system is a really great accomplishment, especially after the same basic pieces were in place last year without Brady and went nowhere.

I agree Brady or anyone winning like he has with a new squad in year 1 is a great accomplishment!  Crazy to think otherwise!

Absolutely nothing is guaranteed in this league and to just assume it is because it's Brady is pure stupidity.

Exactly!! New town, new coach, new system, new team mates, new playbook, coronavirus BS and he's only 43 years old!! He should win the Superbowl blindfolded with one arm tied behind his back.

Take this however you like, but apparently Brees was dealing with a lot more than just broken ribs. The Bears game he's referring to is the regular season game.

Oh, and the reporter is quoting Brittany Brees' IG account so this is actually coming from a source.

Well, that would explain his inability to throw many/any deep passes.  Certainly wouldn't be very possible with a torn rotator cut.

That makes more sense to me because a few of the throws I saw he looked more off than you would think.  I thought maybe it was his ribs flaring up again. Still had a great career and one of the best QBs to play the game.

Also since you're here. Assuming Brees retires, what's your opinion on Taysom Hill versus Jameis Winston?
