DMD
Texas Longhorn WR Xavier Worthy ran a 4.21/40-time. The next best was 4.33 from Brian Thomas. The previous record was 4.22 from WR John Ross in 2017. That is BLAZING. He just became a first rounder. Has to be.

devilwoman
His first run was 4.25...most of the other athletes would have walked away with that as their personal best...but not Worthy...he wanted to break that record. I love that type of competitiveness in players. Plus, I think he had probably run a 4.22 at some point in his prep for the combine...so he already KNEW he could do it. Hell of a run...and he was so happy...he took a victory lap and his fellow athletes came to congratulate him...I LOVED SEEING THAT. I actually enjoyed watching the combine this year...lots of incredible times being run and the explosiveness of these kids. AMAZING!!
stevegrab
John Ross, 5 years, 62 rec for 957 yards and only played in 37 games, less than half of the total 80+ games. He sat out the 2022 season, signed a deal with the Chiefs in Jan 2023 then retired in July. Fast guy but can't stay healthy, including injuries he suffered at the combine. Yeah, sad story....you just wonder what he could have done if he could have been healthy. I'll be rooting for Worthy no matter where he ends up...praying he can stay healthy and live out his dream, he seems like a good kid. darin3
John Ross lived on one of my daughter's friend's family in Huntington Beach. He is from nearby Long Beach and wanted a nice, normal-ish house in a nice, normal-ish neighborhood, apparently. I don't think he lives there anymore. Yeah, he's fast at everything, apparently... including moving in and out of houses. Worthy is a different cat. He'll be better than Ross.
