hooknladder
I'm reading this little article on repeatability...and it's very inciteful. It had to take some time and research to come up with that. -But I can't help thinking this is the product of a fantasy football obsessed mind...it makes me feel alot better about my own obsession. DD must not be married or his wife would have thrown him out by now!\ Good article.
Rovers
I thought the article was great, but the scoring system it's based on , well, sorry, but I think that part of it sucks. At 3 points per passing TD, it makes Manning look .... well, not as good as he is in most leagues. I'm not aware of any league (although I am sure there must be) that only award 3 points/TD pass. Half of my leagues use 6 points, the others use 4. I think that kind of screws the tables up some, at least for my purposes. Wow, I'd love to see those tables reworked to reflect a 6 pt/TD pass..... it might even make for a good article on how scoring systems can affect QB's. After all, the great Manning debate is one of the hottest topics in FF these days, and where his ADP should be. Seeing THIS article, with tables, compared to a 6 point system would be nirvana for me! Still, a good article, no doubt!
hooknladder
Rovers, that reminded me...I meant to mention that. We too use 6pt. TD's,(and why not?), but it's not hard to adjust those rankings roughly in your mind. But this DD has got it bad!

BS Miscreant
At 3 points per passing TD, it makes Manning look .... well, not as good as he is in most leagues. 886016 The value of a TD and how it effects Manning's ranking only really applies to one year, last year. In previous years, there was not much of a difference between Manning and the rest of the top 5 or so. In fact, Manning didn't even lead the league in TD passes in 2002 and 2003. Ruffian
unless its a pron web site 886183 There must be a way to combine FF and strippers. There has to be a connection somewhere. Maybe we should draft the ALL-HUDDLE cheerleading squad... I nominate...Selma Hayek. Edited July 20, 2005 by Ruffian
rajncajn
One of these days they will come up with a way for you to input your own scoring system for any one of their articles...wouldn't that be cool? ...or you can just pay attention to the scoring & adjust as needed for yourself. Made for very good though.
muck
Frankly, adjusting the scoring rules doesn't really affect the RELATIVE POSITION of each player. The intent of the article was not to say "these QBs will score 300pts in your fantasy league" but was to say "these QBs exhibit this type of tendency from year to year"...so...it matters very little if you use 6pts/TD or 3pts/TD when you're only comparing the RELATIVE POSITION of players. hooknladder
I agree Muck, accept QB's that have alot of (6pt.) rushing TD's in a 3/6 pt. league. In leagues w/ 6pt.s for rushing or recieving it matters less.
