CarryTheRock
According to the USA Today Sports Weekly Draft Preview LenDale White and DeAngelo Williams both run a 4.49 40 yard dash. I'll raise my hand and say I have a problem with that. According to TV and NFL radio, the reason White's stock is dropping this last week is because after he "injured" his hammy and could not run at the USC workouts people realized he has not been clocked once back to even his High School days. I guess nobody has a 40 time on him. It didn't help him either that Bush put up 9 or 10 more reps in the bench press weighing in at a little over 200 lbs. TripleW64
Sorry, no link because it's an old fashioned hand held paper... 1412753 Here is a link to the USC workouts that talks about Lendale's hammy and lack of a 40 time. Edit to add it's at the end of the article. Edited April 10, 2006 by TripleW64

irish
yeah, I'd believe it when I saw it that lendale could run as fast a 40 as williams. I really like williams better and think he should be the 2nd RB off the board after Bush and could see williams having the most success because of the spot he may fall into. Jo
Not only that, but DeAngelo Williams was timed faster than that when he ran a few weeks ago. This is cut & paste from RotoWorld: DeAngelo Williams ran an official 4.38 forty at his pro day. On a hard, slippery Memphis track, Williams ran a 4.42 into the wind and was timed as fast as 4.36. The former Tigers' star has been on the rise since a marvelous showing at the Senior Bowl and his fast forty time will only help his stock. Swiss Cheezhead
LenDale White has NEVER run a timed 40-yard dash while at USC. I friggin' hate sports resources that don't tell you their 40 times are "estimated".
Menudo
I am starting to have doubts about White. 1412944 I hope that a lot of teams have their doubts about White and he slips to the Steelers at #32. His running style might not fit every team, but, it would seem to be a perfect match for the Steelers.
