Grits and Shins
In my 10 team dynasty/salary cap league we have 2 divisions of 5 teams each. We only have 2 weeks of playoffs (no bye week) with the top team in each division playing the 2nd team in their division week 15 for the right to advance to the super bowl against the other division champ. DIVISION 1 TEAM 1 (8-5) TEAM 2 (7-6) TEAM 3 (7-6) TEAM 4 (7-6) DIVISION 2 TEAM 1 (8-5) TEAM 2 (8-5) TEAM 3 (7-6) We are going into our last week of the regular season. In Division 1: Teams 1 and 2 are the only ones that can win the division OR they could miss the playoffs entirely. Team 3 can make the playoffs as a wildcard by defeating Team 1 this week (and getting some other help) Team 4 can not make the playoffs due to tie-breakers In Division 2: Team 1 can win the division, take the wild card or miss the playoffs Team 2 is the only team with a playoff spot clinched, can win the division or take the wild card Team 3 can only make the playoffs by defeating Team 1 and having Team 2 win as well So going into the last week of the regular season 1. Both division titles are up for grabs 2. Only 1 team has clinched a playoff berth 3. 5 out of 10 teams are competing for the 3 remaining playoff berths 4. 1 team is eliminates soley on tie-breakers Edited December 9, 2006 by Grits and Shins
rhippens
that's definitely pretty crazy man. in a couple of my leagues, we have some tight divisions, but none that from a whole league perspective are that cluttled and wide open. I'm Rick James Bitch
Parity that Pete Rozelle would have been proud of. The top 3 teams in each division made the playoffs. I don't think we will ever see this again in our league. W L PF Inbound Division DIRTY SANCHEZ 8- 5 (Me of course) Scrub Crushers 8 - 5 Bill and Mike 8- 5 Joe and John 6 - 7 Easy Money 5 - 8 Outbound Division Da Dogs 7 - 6 Ricky/Rich PIMP$ 7 - 6 Desperadoes 7 - 6 Scramblers 5 - 8 Nasty As It Gets 4 - 9 Edited December 8, 2006 by I'm Rick James Bitch

What, nobody could draft a decent team?

Not that it matters, but just helping catch a possible mistake? If Team 2 wins, it will be 9-5, which means no way for Team 3 to win the division. Jedi
Correct and corrected wow.. if there was any doubt that I'm a geek, it's now been answered. I not only was interested enough in your league's record stats, but also took the time to make sure you had your playoff summary correct. Caveman_Nick
one of my locals is a 12 team league in which owners are allowed to keep 2 players from separate positions. Going into the last week of the regular season (last week) both divisions had a 4-way tie for first place (one division at 8-4 and the other at 7-5). Last week was fun. And, yes...I did get the bye
Ursa Majoris
For the last three years, my 10 team local has had 9 teams with a chance of the playoffs in week 13 (our last week).
gilthorp
My parity scale rates it a 37.9241965
Riffraff
But the real race was for the top draft pick next year by the 1-12, 1-12, and 2-11 teams.

Grits and Shins
And here is how it settled out: DIVISION 1 TEAM 1 (8-6) - wins division based on 5-1 H2H advantage with tied teams TEAM 2 (8-6) - wins wild card based on 3-1 H2H advanage with remaining tied teams TEAM 3 (8-6) TEAM 4 (8-6) DIVISION 2 TEAM 5 (9-5) TEAM 6 (8-6) - wins based on total points tie-breaker TEAM 7 (8-6) 7 out of 10 teams with a record good enough to be in the playoffs, 3 teams eliminated on tie-breakers. T_bone65
I my 10 team local this is how the divisions ended up after the regular season: Division 1: 8-5 (my team, I went from out of the playoffs to #1 seed in the last week) 8-5 7-6 7-6 3-10 Division 2: 7-6 7-6 6-7 6-7 6-7 I was the 2nd lowest scoring team because I started out real slow, no thanks to CJ and Fitzgerald, but I won my last 4 games to move from 4-5 to 8-5. In the last 4 weeks I beat (3) 7-6 teams and the 8-5 team to win the HTH. I now have to play the LT2 and P Manning owner this week, keeper league.
