OFFICIAL RULES

Everyone in the organization is eligible. Players, coaches, owners, front-office employees, etc. If the person works for the team and is arrested, the points will be assigned. The term "players" includes players on the roster, the practice squad, and any of the various "reserve" lists (with the exception of "reserve-retired"). The scoring system is simple. Seven points for a felony arrest. Three points for a misdemeanor arrest. One point for a conviction. If there are multiple charges, the points will stack, too.

For the purposes of the Turd Watch scoring, a conviction includes a guilty plea, a plea of no contest, and the entry into a diversion program.

Arrests are worth 3-7 points while a conviction is only worth 1? Odd scoring system.

You have to get arrested to get a conviction, and convictions are rare. Getting a conviction assumes you already have the 3-7 arrest points. I would have thought more too, but it's like a double whammy if you actually have to do time.

That's my point, though. An arrest might just mean wrong place at wrong time. Points should go up from arrest to indictment to conviction.

Yep, the Panthers cut Karl Kankton just in time-he got arrested for sexual assault after he was jettiosoned.

Oh and shouldn't the Lions have 1 from the naked coach incident last year? (and thankfully Charles Rogers isn't around anymore)

They started this after the Super Bowl, going from the start of the "offseason" through the next Super Bowl.
