Bronco Billy
Interesting that they did remove him from PUP list and have not (to my knowledge) placed him back on it, that seems to at least indicate they are thinking that he could be back before their sixth game. So awhile is somewhere between 1 week and 6 weeks? As soon as a player attends practice, they are no longer PUP eligible.
The Waterboy
"....for awhile......for awhile...You wanna do some blow? No, I don't." Great movie: http://www.angelfire.com/film/grossepointe/sounds/poem.mp3
HowboutthemCowboys
Does this make Kerry Collins a QB1 based on experience and Indy's schedule? Borderline. Contrary to what you see on this board, Collins will not be a total failure. He'll be average some weeks and above average some weeks
MikesVikes
I once asked my mother when dinner would be ready. She replied "In a while!" Dinner was ready 3 hours later... Just sayin... Was your Mom trying to put 70,000 fans at the table?

HowboutthemCowboys
So you'd draft Collins as your QB1? nope. And I'm not going to go into a 6 page arguement about it either. I just think that he's going to do better than alot of people have expressed here. If I had him as a backup in a league or 2 I would'nt be upset about it. rattsass
Peyton Manning only survived behind that offensive line because he is Peyton Manning. His ingrained knowledge of the offense allowed him to get the ball away quickly when necessary. At this stage Kerry Collins is a full step slower on his delivery than Manning, and if you have watched Colts football you know there just isn't that much margin for error. Collins will spend lots of time on the ground. He will lose some fumbles. He will not be a savior for this team, an I certainly don't see him be ing a savior for anybody's fantasy team either. I would look elsewhere. Just my opinion, which has been proven 98.6% correct.

Chief Dick
Colts | Peyton Manning undergoes surgeryThu, 08 Sep 2011 12:12:28 -0700 Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning (neck) underwent cervical fusion surgery Thursday, Sept. 8, and will need at least two to three months to recover. It is not known if Manning will be placed on Injured Reserve. Should we start a new thread? Thanks. I think this new surgery does need a new thread. All we need now is for Favre to show up in Indianapolis.

Goopster24
Just picked up Collins, think he's worth a flier this season for sure.
Goopster24
Huddle EOS had IND QB as best for the year and FF playoffs. This doesn't change because of Peyton being out, it's simply venue and schedule, correct? Think Collins is worth a pickup because of this alone. STL Fan
Mort just reported that recovery from this operation is 2-3 months on the general population. What it is with 900lb lineman chasing you is not determined, but they're oficially talking in months now, not weeks.
CaptainHook
The Colts have just entered the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. Could it be like the San Antonio Spurs getting Tim Duncan the year David Robinson missed the season?
