Josh Morgan!

One of the worst officiated games I have ever seen.

Everybody at the dome was ready to hang these zebras.

The NFL is a joke as long as they leave these incompetent referees in place. I know they're doing as best they can. This squarely falls on the NFL, Roger Goodell, and the league as a whole.

These refs are embarrassing the league.

What's really funny is that Morgan is quoted in a WashPost post about Finnegan last week:

“He’s the ultimate competitor, a great competitor,” Redskins wide receiver Josh Morgansaid. “He’s one of those guys that plays—you know how they say play to the whistle? He’s one of those guys that plays until you walk back to the huddle…He’s just got a little extracurricular with him, you know.”

How you stop him: The key, according to Morgan, is to play your own game and not allow Finnegan to get to you.

“He pretty much tries everybody at least once or twice a game to see how you respond back to him, see how you react to him,” Morgan said. “And then he just can go out and be the football player that he is. A lot of people respect the football player. I definitely respect the football player he is. Some of the extra stuff, he can cut out.”

Retaliating, Morgan said, could result in a costly penalty.

“You don’t want to be the second guy because the second guy is going to get caught,” Morgan said. “He’s going to come at you and he’s going to be the first, second and third guy. You’ve got to remind yourself not to be that fourth and fifth guy, and throw your hands up and walk back to the huddle."

Not sure if it was the officials or Shanny's calls that cost the Skins the game:

1. Shanny icing the kicker with his time out....only to watch the kicker miss the kick as the officials wave off the play...(kicker made the subsequent "post-icing" time-out kick)

2. Shanny asking Cundiff to attempt a 62 yard FG (probably a 3-5% success event league-wide) vs allowing RGIII to go for it on 4th and 16 (probably a 10-15% success rate)

Knowing Cundiff has a range of about 50-55 yards max...the actual percentage of making that kick was probably 0-1%. I definitely would have trusted RGIII and his legs to get something done...even with the terrible line protection he was receiving all day.
