Dirk Digler
I'll keep it simple. It's PRE-SEASON. Do you really care who wins? 928868 I do care. It will be the Steelers. For years I have done well in the preseason, and I think it is actually a good game to bet on.
Deacon Bill
I'd say you have a 50-50 shot at being right; and that's going out on a limb. But you're overlooking 3 very important factors. 1) 2nd team offense and defense, 2) 3rd team offense and defense, and 3) it's only preseason. Everyone's going to get a chance to play and be evaluated...no matter what the score is. JMO.
Hardrocker
Ben Roethlisberger won't be good enough to overcome the dreaded sophomore slump. The loss of WR Plaxico Burress will show. 928347 Didnt catch this in top of this thread. However, that was some analysis...I am fully confident that you are dead on right and have bet the house on it....I sure hope you are right Mr. Digler. Big Talker
Yep, bet the house on a preseason game. Sounds like a plan to me.

LegFuJohnson
I do think that there is money to be made betting pre-season football, if you've got your info. Can't say I've ever tried, but I wish you luck.

Dirk Digler
I respect your opinion guys, but heres a question for you. Do you bet college football? Are the majority of these players that are playing come from college football, if you are betting college football you are risking your money on a 18 year old snot face kid that you don't know if he did or not get laid the night before and could be pissed off about that. You are also betting money on a bunch of kids that won't go any further with their football careers than those games on Saturday afternoon. I enjoy preseason football for betting purposes as well as spring baseball for betting purposes, the catch is you have to look at the games differently than you would a regular season game. The one thing I do know is the 3rd and 4th stringers are going to be giving it their all since they are playing for a job, its the first stringers you have to worry about, whether or not they are going to show up or not. Biggest reasons why I like the Steelers more than the Eagles is they will still be able to run the ball tonight with Hayes and Parker both of these guys averaged almost 5 yards/carry last year. Steelers are very deep on the offensive line, and to start they will still have some good receivers in RandleEl, Gibson, Wilson and the new tightend Heath Miller. It will be a close game, but the Steelers should pull it out by a td or so.

Other than that, your logic is solid.

rocknrobn26
You said it. That post alone gets my vote for newbie of the year I guess he chose the name Diggler to give us a premonition of his Lengthy post 928649 Oooooh! The excitement and anticipation is just too much for you guys. We are a betting sharp. I say we because its myself and my computer that finds these winners. Football is my expertise. This should be a winner but then again it is preseason but im confident enough to slam it home. So if you want to make some cash hop on board. See you at the bank! 928729 Dude, are you for real. Don't walk in here and challenge me. Ball up and take the plunge. If the Eagles win I won't post anymore. If the Steelers win you do the same. However I don't think you will accept your own offer. 928796 Preseason football is easy money.Your still wet behind the ears little brother. Preseason is capped differently than the regular season and odviously you dont know how to, secondly im light years ahead of you, you cant rattle my cage but since your penned up here you might as well try, you just need to look at things differently in preseason. It will come to you in time. Be patient. 928859 TOSU, he's a shoe-in!

Oh wait, one already did. 931345 hahahahahahhahahahahhahahahah boorish huh? Can't stand? Or can't respond? You are a GENIUS.Give this man a TV show. Perhaps after the Orielly Factor, call it: "Watch my show because I am dumber than the MONKEY and I will make you feel better about yourself." You could talk sports betting and then watch your predictions flunk, or possibly make blanket statements about things and see if you're correct only to find you have no idea about sports or capping. Then at the end of each show you can angrily tell everyone watching that you OWN them and can buy them when your really OWENED by your own stupidity . It'll be fun. A perfect fit.
