Sgt. Ryan
This stupidity can not be tolerated. Good for you Bob Stoops. Though this will hurt the season regardless of what is being said now
Coffeeman
Was he any good? May not be a big deal...joking, I know he was the starter. Speaking of Big12 losers, what happened to Rashaun Woods in SD? Wasn't even close to making the squad. A shame... geeteebee
Was he any good? May not be a big deal... he came on strong in the second half of last year. he was one of the highest ranked prospects coming out of high school a couple of years ago. bigsnell
Was he any good? May not be a big deal... He was one of the top recruits in the country 2 years ago and started last year as a red shirt freshman. He had the potential to be a very good quarterback and a very high round pick. to Stoops for not putting an individual season before the integrity of the program. Perchoutofwater
Looks like Texas definitely wins the Big 12 again this year, and if they can somehow get by Ohio State, they might have a chance to repeat.
theprofessor
This stupidity can not be tolerated. Good for you Bob Stoops. Though this will hurt the season regardless of what is being said now He was an average quarterback at best. All he really did was hand off to AP. The school finally made a good decision after 2 violations for drinking last year. With that schedule any quarterback could lead that team to 8 wins. Perchoutofwater
I just talked to my cousin who graduated from OU this past spring, and according to her, Bomar had two MIP's and one PI since arriving on campus. She also indicated that Big Red Sports Imports has employeed a number of Sooners, and that another delearship Mark Hieghts (or Wyatts) got caught not to long ago giving players cars. In April, Oklahoma cleared standout running back Adrian Peterson, who purchased a vehicle from the dealership before securing financing, drove it for several weeks and then returned the car. Oklahoma investigated the situation, but ruled Peterson did not violate rules because the dealership said it was normal business practice. Maybe this will be even bigger than it already is. Get real, This levels the playing field, but this is hardly the end of the season for hte Sooners. And no way TEXAS, OUR TEXAS, OH HAIL THE MIGHTY STATE, TEXAS OUR TEXAS, SO WONDERFUL AND GREAT... beat OSU or OU this yr.

Perchoutofwater
Peterson wasnt on the payroll, so its not the same thing. No, but he got to have a free ride for several weeks without having to pay for a car that there was no way he could afford. I mean, I've had dealerships let me take a car for a weekend test drive, but I've never heard of one letting you have one for several weeks, have you? Sgt. Ryan
Its a sad say in Sooner Nation when someone as talented as Bomar, continues to make mistakes and eventually hurts the team because of his actions. Sports Radio is guessing Bomar will be at TCU or SMU next year. Serves him right......

But the Big 12 doesnt have a dominant team right now, outside of OU, and now that is even questionable.

sacosud
Okay...before we chuck stones at the kid. I can remember being his age and throwing some back and if someone wanted to pay me a little extra back then I may have done it...NOW that I'm older and know better things would be diffrent. I think this had alot to do with Stoops who is a great coach and leader. I know Stoops gave this kid a second chance and he blew it. I really liked Bomar for this season and that's just a shame he had to end his career in Norman that way...Oh and by the way some of the OSU db's and I'm not going to mention names like LSU this season feel they are going to make a huge push. They also talked about some kid that commited to USC I forget the name dropped, but apparently the kid wanted to race Ginn at Woody Hayes center but the coaches would not allow it. I guess some of the Db's felt Ginn may have met his match had they raced. There was also a quick discussion on Ginn verse Bush foot race and most believed Bush would have won...Oh and this is for Buckeye fans the db's and there was more than 1 that said they like Zwick but that he is just awful. They did not really want to come out and say that about Justin, however when pushed by a USC fan who was also in attendance they admitted as much..sorry just got side tracked don't want to hijack on Bomar. Sarge who is the backup and what kind of talent does he have. I remember a black fella who kinda looked like a deer in headlights but also could scramble prettty well is he the man now??? or someone diffrent?? What's your opinion since I'll probaly jump over collegefootballnews.com and get that answer still like a fan's view and any other Sooner fans view. Sgt. Ryan
Paul Thompson is the man now, and he coudlnt beat out Bomar last yr as a red shirt freshman. They have a college transfer that I hear is a stiff, and hoped they never had to put him in, then a true freshman that wasnt highly touted outside of the state of Oklahoma. the position will be grim early on, but hopefully by Texas they can find someone who can at least keep 10 whorns out of the box to give Adrian some room to rush for 250. I would bet it's something like this....hmmm "How come I did not transfer?" I'm sure Mount Union would have started him or at least had him in the 2 deep as well. FIrst of all, if he transfers to a d-1 program such as Arkansas State he will have to sit for a year. Second of all, I was in Rockwall Saturday buying a car. It is a pretty cool town. I am considering opening up a field office there someday.
