No one team owner should have any particular claim to a league. It should be up to the majority of league owners.
frenzal rhomb
I disagree - we have a guy in the our league who no one really likes - but he shows up - pays his money - and he submits his best line up every week - keep him.

sub150
It sounds like league run by children. Actually we are kids going to college...and this is the first year of the league. We have 12 people in in right now, it was only 10 bucks this year. Next year we are going to 50, using a pay site, live draft, and I have about 20 people who want it...so there are plenty of people who will show up and pay there money. I just want to have people I like in the leauge that I can get together with, go to a Bengals game, play some madden with on Sundays. Don't say its run by children becuase there is one odd-man out in the league who got lucky and won. I also don't like being called a child. If you've got 20 people who want to be in your league, start a second league. It's a fantasy football league, not a social club. Why kick a guy out after he's won the league? If you don't like being called a child, don't take your ball and go home.

sunysteelfly76
I also don't like being called a child. Don't take it personally. When you get into your mid 20's you'll realize how right NSab is and how dumb you were right out of HS. When you get into your mid 30's you'll realize how foolish you were in your 20's, it'ts the cycle of life. Don't kick the kid out because he's younger than the rest, that would be childish. When you get into your mid 30's you'll realize how foolish you were in your 20's, it'ts the cycle of life. That's so true. It's human nature, and in fact the whole idea behind 'wisdom'. It's not just a word mentioned by more intelligent older people, it's a concept known by everyone as you get older. Accept it, deal with it, and move on... At any rate, I see no reason to kick the kid out of the league. I'd rather have a very active and competitive team owner in my league, rather than a good friend who is so-so interested but maybe not so competitive. Bronco Billy
Why not keep the HS kid & make 2 leagues? I don't know what management service you plan on using, but myfantasyleague.com allows you to set up two leagues on the same site and use each player in the draft twice. You could have a 13 game season, have each league's playoffs weeks 14/15, and then let the two league champions meet week 16 for your super bowl. That would put more money into your awards (which every college kid likes) and create enough spots for the HS kid to stay. Remember, you were in high school once, too. If the kid is paying his dues, stays active, and isn't a pain in the ass, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't want to keep him in the league. I've played in leagues with older people who are major a-holes - don't pay their fees on time, don't set lineups regularly, use every opportunity to bend/break the rules, complain about every little thing, or whine about how great their crappy teams are and how unlucky they are. If the kid is a good owner, keep him onboard. In 10 years, you might be very glad that you did and he might be a cornerstone of your league. ljbrun
I'm of the school of thought that says the winner should be invited back to defend their title. Along this line of thinking. This might be the poker player in me talking, but I wouldn't want anyone to win my money one year and then be allowed to walk away without giving me a chance to win it back. skylive5
Actually we are kids going to college... Then why did you invite the guy in the first place? Just wanted his money? .....one odd-man out in the league who got lucky and won. Ahhh... got lucky. That was the only reason he bested the rest of you. Now it comes to light. I also don't like being called a child. But you are being childish. Throwing the guy out so you can have a friend take his place. Kid is better than you at FF and you find some reason to dump him. Sounds like a league he really wouldn't want to be part of anyway. I have been there and had it happen to me and my son. Invited, won it all, got dumped, against commissioners wishes voted back in, SB loser the next year on a fluke play...dumped. Makes you feel like crap for being good. Not something you forget easily. You do what you have to do but remember.... even 16-19 year olds should show some class and you will have shown none once you tell him the good news. Savage Beatings
i am just a 17, my league is 16-19 year olds, and we are trying to have it be just college kids. Sounds to me like you guys just want to sound more grown up now since you are going to be in College, and so now you want to be able to call your league a College League. It happens a lot in life actually. My 9 year old daughter insists that she is 9 and a half. A lot of kids that turn 13 insist on being called a Teenager instead of a Kid. Meg Griffin on the Family Guy insisted that she was too cool to forget her lunch once she made the Flag Corps. Look its up to you guys to decide who your owners are going to be, but kicking out your league Champ because now he won't be able to join you at College is more than a just little bit lame. If the guy was cheating or even was just an ass that everybody hated, then fine, boot him and find a replacement... but if he was old enough to win it all this year, then he should be old enough to continue with you guys next year. I'm Rick James Bitch
The answer to this problem is easy. He is league champ so you and your good friends should give him control of the league and go start a new league with your selected college friends. The Vatican Hitsquad
:obvious: Don't you read his stuff here? Heh, right, i was thinking that was the reason but what were the chances the owners of that league read this board too.
skylive5
Heh, right, i was thinking that was the reason but what were the chances the owners of that league read this board too. The owners had no idea this board existed. Heck... the board was only a year old. LOL No.. they had a million excuses, but in the end it was obvious.... they were not going to compete with us. We came to the drafts cocked and ready, with tons of info and a plan, and they were out of their league. (Out of their league... lol) The last time I saw the commissioner was when he paid us our money.... and he pretty much said we were too good and that he no longer wanted us around. Of course, us stopping his 3 year run as league champ (the 3 years it had been in existence) kinda put us behind the eight ball to begin with. All in all it sucked that because we won we were dumped. And anyone that knows me knows that the dumping had nothing to do with being mouthy, cheating, or being a slug.
