Seahawk37
Just read the numbers in my name 37, thats right Shaun Alexander is gonna run all over the Bears and Jerramy Stevens is gonna spread the feild along with those Speedy Hawks receivers getting open moving them chains all day long. Hasselbeck will lead us to victory! YEAH ITS LIKE BRAVEHEART!
jaxfactor
Then the cow jumped over the moon. Seriously, I hope you're right. I'd love to see a team that's never won a SB win one. If the Hawks win, that means the NFC half is taken care of. Just have to hope the Chargers win the AFC.
Ursa Majoris
Shaun Alexander is gonna get run all over by the Bears and Jerramy Stevens is gonna be spread all over the field Edited for spelling and accuracy.
bushwacked
My edit is spellier and accurateier. Shaun Alexander is gonna run all over by the Bears and Rex Grossman is gonna hit a border patrol agent for a TD
bushwacked
The Bears are definitely ripe for the picking, but they have one thing going for them. After a 2 week layoff they are facing a very mediocre injury depleted Hawks team. The Bears played their way into homefield advantage and it should help them immensely. I think that either of these teams gets beaten by a Saints or Eagles team. But that doesn't matter for now. I really don't see SA having a good game. The patchwork offensive line isn't going to all of the sudden give him room againnst the talented Chicago D-line....after that he still has 3 great LBs to deal with. I've already conceded that Sean will probably get about 60 yards on 15-20 carries. The three prong keys to the game are as follows (at least in my mind), in order of priority. - Grossman. If Rex plays good I really think that Seattle has a very minimal chance to win this game. If he plays ultra-conservative and limits the turnovers to 1 or less, then the window opens up a bit. If he totally f's it up..nothing matters, all bets off the table. The Seattle secondary is depleted, but I doubt Lovie tries to exploit our glaring weakness by using his glaring weakness. - Hasselbeck. Hass needs to play a great game and also minimize mistakes. Matt has shown glimpses this year, but he really needs to put the team on his back and lead them to victory. I'm not so sure he can do that with 2 of his favorite targets injured and the lack of respect to the running game. - Special teams. Don't let Devin Hester beat you and maybe the Hawks can get lucky with a return. My mind is saying the bears win this and maybe fairly easily. I hope Djax and Hackett are on extra doses of cortizone. Holmgren needs to put all his chips in so don't be suprised if Seneca Wallace is involved in multiple plays.

Hitman
Alexander isn't 100% recovered IMO. That is much more important than how well Rex plays. That and the missing guys from the SEA secondary will hurt them...in stopping the run mostly. They will miss Trufant. SEA will have to capitalize on every mistake the Bears offense makes....I just don't see it. Bears DEF will be too tough. cdrudge
YEAH ITS LIKE BRAVEHEART!Perhaps Braveheart isn't the best example. At the end of Braveheart William Wallace was captured, tortured, and killed. While he did win his "victory", he still ultimately died so some may not consider that a victory. Rockerbraves
Bears DEF will be too tough. Not sure if the Bears DEF will score, but if they do it could be a long day for the Seahawks. Here's to the hope that Hass and company will score often.
broncosn05
This should be an interesting thread after Chicago wins today. It's highly unlikely that the Seahawks sneak by Chicago.
soopanuts
I'm routing for the Hawks to win bc I want NO to get the Championship game. What a story it would be if that team heads to the Super Bowl. It would be great for the city...

Ursa Majoris
The short answer to the thread title is: Rex Grossman I doubt it. The Bears aren't going to put this game in Grossman's hands unless they are behind in the second half and really have to.

Not a 100% sure they are quite ready yet to handle it yet, but it sure would be fun trying. Think they are working hard to get the city back in shape for next year's BCS NC game scheduled to be held in New Orleans. Wouldn't it be nice if Chicago decided to donate their portion of the revenues to New Orleans if they do host the game next week.
Pope Flick
Just read the numbers in my name 37, thats right Shaun Alexander is gonna run all over the Bears S. Alexander 26 for 108 - um, not really "run all over" but a nice showing. and Jerramy Stevens is gonna spread the feild along with those Speedy Hawks receivers getting open moving them chains all day long. Hasselbeck will lead us to victory! J. Stevens 2 for 18 - both in the 4th quarter. nope. YEAH ITS LIKE BRAVEHEART! Ok.

TheGrunt
Man, my keys to the game were generally all messed up, in the sense that everyone, including SA played good. Just to bump this up once more, saving the one last thread-title that has the word 'Seahawks' and 'Win' in the same sentence... One thing you forgot to mention regarding the Seahawks painful loss was that Pete Hunter, the starting CB has a short yet interesting timeline of existence on the team: January 2, 2007 -- Hunter is signed as a Free Agent to the Seattle Seahawks. Prior to being signed onto the team he had started his own mortgage and loan company, working as a loan officer. Hunter had also begun training to be a United States border agent. January 6, 2007 -- Pete Hunter plays his first game in Seattle, a Wild Card game against his former team, the Dallas Cowboys (his last complete season was 2003). Against the Cowboys in that game, Hunter had three tackles, defended one pass, and recovered a fumble by Cowboys tight end Jason Witten. January 14, 2007 -- he played against the Bears in Chicago in a Divisional Playoff game. He intercepted a Rex Grossman pass in the 4th quarter. But the Seahawks lost, no longer to remain a contender in the playoffs... Is there nothing left to appreciate in life???
