Big Dogs
Didn't see it posted anywhere, and I don't have a link.... because I heard it on the morning news on the way into work this morning, but Dom Rhodes was arrested last night in Indy for a DUI. The report stated he was goign 81 in a 55 right through downtown on I-65. As I hear more details or get a link, I'll post..... Don't think this bodes well for the Colt's keeping him in FA. Big Dogs
Actually, found a link........ Colts' Dominic Rhodes Arrested Indianapolis Colts running back Dominic Rhodes was arrested early this morning on a charge of driving while intoxicated, police said. Rhodes is in the Arrestee Processing Center, Metropolitan Police Lt. Doug Scheffel said. Indiana State Police arrested Rhodes in a silver GMC at 3:02 this morning on northbound I-65 near 71st Street, First Sgt. Dave Bursten said in a written statement. Police said Rhodes was driving 81 mph in a 55 mph zone. Rhodes cooperated with the troopers during his arrest, police said. His vehicle was impounded and is being stored at a lot in Speedway. Marion County court records show Rhodes was arrested on initial charges of misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Hat Trick
81mph in a 55mph zone at 3am? Idiot, who else is out at that hour, drunks and cops.

The Irish Doggy
In my experience, 81 on I65 is nothing. He was probably in the slow lane.
Sox
Well that seals it. My Bengals need to sign this guy.

That is true.........High 70's / Low 80's is the average speed on both I-65 and I-465 (outter loop of Indy), but it was at 3am on a Monday night, so it wasn't too bright...... :D Edited February 20, 2007 by Big Dogs

Savage Beatings
So, he couldn't outrun the cops either. I bet Edge could have gotten away from them.

Bill Swerski
In my experience, 81 on I65 is nothing. He was probably in the slow lane. People drive like psychos on I-65, even out in the country. That said, Dom's still a moran for going 26 over while intoxicated at 3 am. Good thing that he works in a field where one or two arrests won't affect his job security.
MikesVikes
Edge would've taken himself out at the freeway entrance.

Bill Swerski
so speed limit is 55? Depends where you are. If you're inside 465, I believe it's 55. Outside, it's 65 and people regularly go 80-85... and that's out in the boonies.
max
Poor lack of judgment on Rhodes part. Definitely a dumb move. Hopefully he will learn from this but only time will tell. Luckily nobody got hurt.

Bill Swerski
ADDAI = my #1 keeper! Yeah, I'm feeling better about having traded for him now. I thought that Rhodes would be a change-of-pace back this season IF he stayed in Indy. But now it appears that their miniscule cap room isn't the only factor in whether or not they'll re-sign him. After reading Polian's unsolicited comments about how Rhodes is still subject to disciplinary action, I think there's about a snowball's chance in hell he's in a Colts uniform this season.
