Chief Dick
I say the Royals. They are really due. They have some good young pitching and their offense should score some runs this year. What do you all think?

What do you all think? I think if you really believe the Royals will win the World Series then take a trip to Vegas. Would imagine you could get odds like 250/1. justin
The Orioles. Solid line-up, if the pitching can come around, then they are a lock.

Puddy
From a different site. 2007 World Series Odds Spring training gets started this week, which means despite the snowy weather baseball season is coming. Last year the St. Louis Cardinals barely made it into the playoffs, but it didn't matter in October as they got through the rest of the National League and the Detroit Tigers to win the World Series. If the oddsmakers at MySportsbook.com have it right, the Cardinals don't have a very good shot at repeating. The clear choice for this year's World Series champion at MySportsbook.com is the New York Yankees. The Yankees still have one of the most feared lineups of hitters in all of baseball, and despite their suspect starting pitching the oddsmakers think they have what it takes to win it all. The Yankees are a 7/2 favorite on the MySportsbook.com odds sheet. Coming in right behind the Yankees on the odds sheet are last year's runners-up, the Detroit Tigers. Detroit returns with almost their entire World Series roster intact and they added a big offensive weapon in Gary Sheffield. If the Tigers' young arms can continue to improve, they may end up being a good bet at 5/1 at Mysportsbook.com once October rolls around. The next two teams on the odds sheet have both received the same odds, but they had very different finishes last season. The Boston Red Sox sank to third place in the AL East last year and missed the playoffs. Boston retooled in the offseason signing J.D. Drew, Julio Lugo, and the biggest catch Daisuke Matsuzaka. If Boston's new players pay off they could be bound for postseason play again. The Chicago Cubs finished last season with the worst record in the National League. After an extremely busy offseason that saw the Cubs add Alfonso Soriano, Ted Lilly, Jason Marquis and Cliff Floyd, the Cubs have high expectations this season. The oddsmakers have high expectations for both Boston and Chicago after listing both teams at 9/1 to win the World Series. MLB Futures Odds to win the 2007 World Series New York Yankees 7-2 Detroit Tigers 5-1 Boston Red Sox 9-1 Chicago Cubs 9-1 Chicago White Sox 10-1 Los Angeles Angels 10-1 New York Mets 11-1 St Louis Cardinals 12-1 Los Angeles Dodgers 13-1 Philadelphia Phillies 13-1 Cleveland Indians 20-1 Oakland Athletics 20-1 San Francisco Giants 20-1 Toronto Blue Jays 20-1 Atlanta Braves 30-1 Minnesota Twins 30-1 San Diego Padres 30-1 Houston Astros 40-1 Texas Rangers 40-1 Cincinnati Reds 50-1 Florida Marlins 50-1 Milwaukee Brewers 50-1 Arizona Diamondbacks 60-1 Baltimore Orioles 100-1 Seattle Mariners 100-1 Colorado Rockies 150-

What do you all think? Taking that one step further. The Kansas City Royals vs the Pittsburgh Pirates. That would be some serious sh*t, wouldn't it? Chief Dick
Taking that one step further. The Kansas City Royals vs the Pittsburgh Pirates. That would be some serious sh*t, wouldn't it? Lowest rated World Series EVER, except in Pittsburgh and KC, where it would get a 100% rating.
rhippens
i root on the phildos year after year, but seeing how of their pitchers are injured already, i'm thinking it'll be a shaky start. but i like the oddmakers giving them some cred.
