darin3
I'd wear the flops, but then again I pretty much stay in them when I am not at work. +1 ... I won't wear shoes (unless I'm doing something work related) for another 3-4 months.
loaf
Going to my wife's high school reunion tonight. It's at a nice bar/grill here in town: very casual. Planning on wearing nice shirt and khaki's with some nice flip flops. My wife wants me to wear those Doc Martin sandals that were popular about 10 years ago. Kind of like these. I tell her they are a little clunky and that flip flops would be a better set-up. What do you all think? 1. Ghey 2. Flip Flop 3. Doc Martins 4. Hope there were Mexican's in her class for a little rr kiss. just wanted to add that I wear my Docs to events such as these. co-worker chick tells me Docs are out of fashion. I tell her they are only out of fashion with those that bought them to be in fashion...

untateve
I tell her they are only out of fashion with those that bought them to be in fashion... Without intention, loaf has created enemies of my wife and my mother-in-law. I shall quote loaf whenever the subject of my attire is brought up. Hankk
A man only wears "flip-flops" on 2 occasions: 1) at the beach; 2) going to/from the shower at the gym or whatnot. (Well, maybe 3, but I've never been arrested.) Some men can get away with sandals if the sandals are of good quality, they wear appropriate clothing and their feet are adequately groomed. Those big clunky sandals (like Dr Martin) are ghastly.

Egret
I bought some of these to replace my Teva sandals. I planned on buying a pair of Tevas, but the lady at the store had me try these on. I don't care how they look. They are incredibly comfortable. It also helps that I can make anything look sexy.

i_am_the_swammi
those look like the sandles my 2 year-old wears--do they have velcro straps? My 4-year old has a pair of Batman sandals that are strikingly similar.
Egret
those look like the sandles my 2 year-old wears--do they have velcro straps? No velco. There is a single bungee type lace that goes up the middle. Like I said, I scoffed until I tried them.
