theeohiostate
Gimmie a break ! Â At least you have the fortune to have a 1st rounder still active. Try having Brady in your 2 biggest money leagues , out for the year. That'll spoil a FF season, NOT having an underachieving Grant in week
bushwacked
I don't feel too bad about the over-hyped RB's I avoided to get a WR. Even while I'm waiting for Marques Colston to get healthy.

That'll spoil a FF season, NOT having an underachieving Grant in week 4   What good is a first rounder when he's a bust for you every single week the way Grant has been for the first 4??? It would be better to have such a player injured for the season rather than continuing to play like an all-out bust...at least then all of his owners would know enough to play somebody else. As a free agent RB he was a great choice last year. There was nothing that pointed to him being worthy of a top 20 pick in drafts this year

I'm not going to argue with the logic behind taking him based on those numbers. I liked him this year until the holdout and the hammy issues. As it turns out, I was never in position to take him anyway. In one league I had the first pick and he was gone before my 2nd. In the other, Barber fell to my 2nd so there was no question and he was gone before my 3rd.  However, even with the concerns, he would have been hard for me to pass up had he fell to my next pick in either of those drafts. Â I have no problem thinking he looks promising. I have a problem with drafting him in the first round and building your team around him, then being all surprised when the truth--he's not a rock-solid 16-week stud--becomes apparent. Again, playing fantasy running backs is stupid. There were probably plenty of great QBs and WRs on the board for him, but nooooo, gotta roll the dice on the 11th best available RB because OMG WHAT IF HE DOESN'T TAKE AN RB??!?! Bier Meister
conversely, i didn't think there was anything to indicate he would do worse this year (and in ppr, i thought he would do better because of rogers- young qb's usually go to te's and rb's). he is at 4.2 ypc, just doesn't have as many touches as i'd like...and no td's
SteelBunz
Not to mention, one draft round shouldn't make or break your whole team. Â Most teams will have one high draft pick that has some bad luck.....either injury, suspension, QB change, play calling......whatever. A good FF player should be able to overcome it with the rest of the draft, FA moves.....trades, a little luck with a flyer. Â If, however, your top three picks were Grant, Brady and Colston......you might be toast.
xMRogers
Well, my top 2 were Grant (reached for him as I was on board with the "last year was a taste, this year going to be great" crew) then a 'steal' with Brady in the 2nd round...somehow still 2-2 (Jennings and Philly D saving me)
