AtomicCEO
Red Sox fans can already leave, beat the rush I'm still patiently waiting for my comeback to start. Waiting.
Gonkis
7th inning is a NL rule. AL teams can set their own rules on that. Who knows that kind of fact? MAYBE .1% of the baseball watching population.

AtomicCEO
wow <secretly hopes that Atomic got pissed and turned the tv off> It feels like Christmas morning. You think it isn't going to come... you think it's never going to happen and then BAM!!!! 8 runs in 3 innings to come back from 7 down!!! Puddy
and only the REAL fans got to see it....many faux fans left early on Note: This theory doesn't apply to baseball games (outdoors only) as that is just a good time in nice weather, win or lose. driveby
More surprisingly...there are Rays fans??? Before the season started a buddy of mine put $10 on the Rays to win the World Series at 100 to 1. He's now a hugh Rays fan.

Menudo
My Dad and I were at a Pirates game in 2001, it was the day game of a day/night double header.................. The Pirates were down 8-2 going into the 9th Inning, much of the stadium had cleared out, and it was a Pirates game, so there weren't many there to begin with. My Dad, always the pessimist wanted to leave too, but, I insisted on staying until the bitter end. Aramis Ramirez flies out to left, one out John Vander Wal flies out to center, two outs (we begin to gather our program, etc. and are ready to make our way out) Kevin Young doubles Pat Meares homers (8-4 Astros) Adam Hyzdu pinch-hit single to left Tike Redman walks Jack Wilson Singles, Hyzdu scores (8-5 Astros) Billy Wagner, the Astros closer, comes in, I whisper to my Dad, if Kendall gets on, Giles is the go ahead run. Kendall is hit by a pitch (bases are loaded) Brian Giles slams the first pitch he sees deep into the right field bleachers The Pirates win the game, 9-8, in what I believe was the biggest 9th in comeback with 2 outs in league history. This was one of few memorable moments that the Pirates have, but, now that he is gone, one of the moments that I will always cherish between me and my Dad. That is why you don't leave a game early.
