muck
Through 14 weeks, the following notable performances have been turned in against them: Quarterbacks: Week 1 -- Joe Flacco, 307 yds & 3 TDs Week 3 -- Kevin Kolb, 329 yds & 2 TDs Week 4 -- Eli Manning; 292 yds & 3 TDs Week 5 -- Tony Romo; 351 yds & 2 TDs Week 7 -- Phillip Rivers; 268 yds & 3 TDs Week 11 -- Ben Roethlisberger; 398 yds & 3 TDs Week 12 -- Phillip Rivers; 317 yds & 2 TDs Runningbacks: Week 1 -- Ray Rice; 107 yds & 0 TDs Week 6 -- Clinton Portis; 109 yds & 0 TDs Week 10 -- Michael Bush; 119 yds & 0 TDs Week 13 -- Knowshown Moreno & Correll Buckhalter; 199 yds & 2 TDs Week 14 -- Fred Jackson & Marshawn Lynch; 183 yds & 0 TDs Week 15 -- Jerome Harrison; 286 yds & 3 TDs Wide Receivers: Week 3 -- Desean Jackson; 149 yds & 1 TD Week 4 -- Steve Smith; 134 yds & 2 TDs Week 5 -- Miles Austin; 250 yds & 2 TDs Week 7 -- Vincent Jackson; 147 yds & 1 TD Week 9 -- Mike Sims-Walker; 149 yds & 1 TD Week 11 -- Hines Ward; 128 yds & 1 TD Tight Ends: Week 3 -- Brent Celek; 104 yds & 1 TD Week 11 -- Heath Miller; 95 yds & 1 TD Week 12 -- Antonio Gates; 118 yds & 2 TDs Kick Returns: Week 15 -- Josh Cribbs, 2 TDs Miscellaneous Notes on General Crappiness: Week 2 -- still lose when the opposing QB goes 7-24 for 109 yards and the opposing team combines for 67 yards rushing Week 15 -- still lose when the your QB throws for more than 330 yards and your RB has more than 150 yards rushing *********************** Observations: KC got pummeled by the pass the first half of the season. Why? No pass rush, no LB help, no DB help. KC is getting pummeled by the rush in the second half of the season. Why? No will. ************************ As I believe I've been saying for about four years now, if KC uses any of its early picks on anything but "fat guys" for the defensive line or offensive line, they will not improve. As of right now, here is the KC draft for 2010: 1st round -- offensive or defensive line 2nd round -- offensive or defensive line 2nd round (from ATL for Gonzo) -- line or linebacker 3rd round -- line, linebacker or safety 4th round -- line, linebacker, safety or wide receiver 5th round -- line, linebacker, safety or wide receiver 5th round (from CAR for Tank Tyler) -- line, linebacker, safety, wide receiver or quarterback 5th round (from MIA for Tyler Thigpen) -- line, linebacker, safety, wide receiver or quarterback 6th round -- line, linebacker, safety, wide receiver or quarterback 7th round -- traded to MIA for MIA's 7th round pick in 2009 NOTE: KC traded an undisclosed pick to MIA for two nondescript offensive linemen. Summary: KC has at least 8 picks (including, probably) 7 picks before the we get to the second half of the 5th round. Hopefully, we end up with at least four new linemen in those 7 picks. STL Fan
At one point this season, the Rams gave up over 1,000 yards in a 6-game span, and in that span three of those teams had season highs in rushing. Not trying to say the Chiefs don't suck (because they do), but they can't hold the Rams jock in terms of suckitude this year.

Square
I need a good week out of Palmer so I'm hoping he continues the tradition of QBs throwing all over the field against the Chiefs this week.

Look at it this way: the new state motto of Missouri is: The Show Me Suck state. The ad campaign: "You want suck? We can show it to you.
