Chief Dick
Just curious how many here actively participate in political campaigns, whether local or national elections. And by participate, I mean going door to door, making calls, working at the campaign office, etc. I don't mean you write a check. And please, no political banter in here. I'm thinking about doing some in the future and curious how many others participate to that extent.

Clubfoothead
In high school, I worked on Byron Dorgan's last re-election campaign to the House. That was initially tail inspired. I am friends with one of the candidates for Dallas County Judge so I'm helping when I can. I have a 6 year old and 2 year old. My time is limited. Kid Cid
I did in the past, mostly working the phones type of stuff, but disillusionment set in when I actually met the guy I was working for.

AtomicCEO
I used to do a lot of local stuff in CT for the Young dems. Then I helped out a litte when my roommate was running for office. Since moving to CO, all I've done is send angry Abe Simpson style letters to politicians from both parties.
bushwacked
Helped get a guy elected to the local city council. He just got admonished for trying to purchase property for the city Police Dept without authorization from the rest of the council and mayor. Don't know the inside scoop. westvirginia
I used to but like others have said - I became very disillusioned. If I knew someone personally whom I liked and admired I might do it again.

SeductiveNun
A high school friend of mine was a House Representative in the Minnesota legislature, so I worked on his campaign, that was several years ago though. I also ran for school board in my hometown right after I got out of college, but came in 4th out of 4.
BS Miscreant
In the late 80s and early 90s I was a staunch activist, advocate and contributor to the "Hey ladies, the Miscreant is worthy of your vagina" campaign. After many years since then I have campaigned successfully to convince all pertinent parties(my wife) that the previously mentioned campaign never existed.
