Good girl...big ole 7-year old chocolate lab that knows sit and shake.

Lexi, the beagle, wondering who is in her backyard.

Chalkie, my 15-year old lab, talking to her. And talking.

Chalkie telling them to discuss it.

She's a real sweet dog. She's bow-legged and mixed with some hound which makes her legs a mile long. She can sure run. She had never been off-leash outside before since the previous owners didn't have a fence. Very, very well-behaved and just a big ole gentle giant. The previous owners were a friend of a friend that lost their house to foreclosure and their new apartment wouldn't allow dogs so they were going to take it to the pound. She had been a pound dog and you can't put a dog in a pound twice. I'm also sure she would've bucked the odds and gotten adopted though because she is a really good dog. I had to put Chalkie's sister, Bootsie, down last year so it was time for a new one anyways. She's already found the sofa. Her legs hang over it by a few feet.

I guess this is the week for new pups.
