AtomicCEO
Google Voice - to replace stock voicemail Bluetooth OnOff - one touch widget to enable or disable the battery eater Wifi OnOff - same TeeDroid Caddy - GPS for golf with distances from where you're standing to front, center, back of greens and landmarks. MojoNES or ggNES Lite - free NES emulators Taps of Fire - Guitar Hero clone, requires rooting I think. Barcode Scanner - Check prices online when shopping. I don't like the Facebook app at all, I just dropped a bookmark to touch.facebook.com on my home screen. Much better. I don't either, but for some reason it's a ton faster than through the browser. at least in my experience.

It can scan the front of books and other products. Food Finder Pandora 3banana (note taking software) Google Sky CardioTrainer (great app for running) Handcent (alternate texting software) Twidroid (twitter) PhoneFlicks (Netflix queue app) I also have some kid games like dolch flash cards and other stuff for the little guy. AtomicCEO
Handcent (alternate texting software) Hmm... I may need to check that out. One thing I've definitely come to realize is that the stock features are not necessarily the best ones. I've even replaced my dialer with "Wysie Contacts" 2.8 which came with the Cyanogenmod. It's definitely better.
McBoog
This did say "Droid". Don't bother with an Android device if it doesn't support 2.x firmware . I understand in the next 2.2 release , Flash player will be part of the platform. Anything under 2.x will not support the software. I did use Dolphin Browser for a while, but I like the upgraded browser that is part of the 2.1 update better, My favorite apps: System Apps: Advanced Task Killer (ATK) (if you don't have an app killer, you are in slow motion) anitvirus BatteryTime Light Where's My Droid (a must have) Andro Zip YouMail (I think the best voice Mail product, even over Google) Digital Clock Widgit Uninstaller Navigation / Geo-positioning: Earth Google Sky Map GPS Status My Tracks (very cool) Houston Traffic (I live here) Compass (by Snaptic) Productivity: ColorNote (note and ToDo app all in one with color coding. Very nice) DocumentsToGo (Full paid version. The ONLY app I have actually paid for and is well worth it!!!!!) RealCalc (Fulle scientific Calculator) I have fully converted to Google for Calendar and Address book. Very hard after 13 years+ on Palm platform) Entertainment: MUSIC JUNK If you can't tell, this is the app to have. MP3 Download Pandora Ringdroid (cut any piece of a song of any length and turn it into a ringtone. Cool) NFL Mobile NetFlix Movies (way good!) Cool Sh!t: ShopSavvy DroidLight (Turns on/off LED from camera for camera) Fake-A-Call (set up a fake call to get you out of a meeting or conversation) Sound Grenade (I can't hear it, but it can clear a room, quick! The younger the people the faster they scoot. Great for clearing my office too. I just pretend there is nothing happening) Remember that closing an app does not stop it, they stay running in the background. If you open and close a lot apps, the phone slows down. I know someone that had to shut the phone off three or four times a day until I showed them ATK. This is also why the battery will get eaten faster. For me, one charge will last a couple of days with good app and battery management. GET THE WINDOW MOUNT. The Google GPS is as good if not better than my Garmin! I also like the desk charger. It turns the droid into a digital picture frame, using the pics on the phone. GET MUSIC JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The music loads to the SD card as an MP# and its yours forever. Play the tunes through the resident music app. Edited May 8, 2010 by McBoog
