A rumor that Pittsburgh Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall suffered a broken arm is not true, reports NFL Network's Jason La Canfora.

Huddle Up: These fantasy football injury hoaxes are nothing new. Years ago someone started a rumor the night before Week 1 kickoff that Clinton Portis hurt himself lifting weights and would miss 8-12 weeks. CBS Sportsline picked up the rumor and posted it -- then quickly took it down five minutes later. CBS Sportsline issued a statement that said: "It was egregious and, frankly, unforgivable, and we apologize to our readers."

Rashard Mendenhall's arm is not broken and he will play at Denver this Sunday, reports NFL Network's Adam Schefter.

Huddle Up: Schefter tweeted: "His arm is as broken as Revis' deal is signed. Mendenhall playing Sunday night." KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh adds that Mendenhall did have some sort of tests done on his arm. "KDKA's Jory Rand reports that Rashard Mendenhall's agent says that the story that he broke his arm is just a rumor... But KDKA-TV Sports also learned that Mendenhall underwent some tests on his arm," the report states.
