Don't get me wrong, soccer is great. I played for a number of years in my younger days. However, today I was searching for a game and could not find anything, then ........................ there it was. I found a High School Championship game on, a girls high school game. I need help. I was thinking "well there goes her chance for kids" ... thinking that was a bit harsh, I then thought "I would have said the same thing if it were a guy... I guess I need to adjust my old viewpoint and stop with the double standard". BTW, I was also impressed she got back in after only a few minutes of recovery time. US goalie, Hope Solo, saves the PK, but the referee amazingly rules that she moved off her line too early and gave Brazil another PK (which they scored on). 1-1 with a little less than 20 minutes left in regulation. I forgot the game was on but saw everyone talking about us getting hosed and almost didn't want to watch it. Turned it on in the 110th minute. What a game! Of course, my wife gave me the big when she was trying to talk to me at the end and I was ignoring her. "Since when have you watched women's soccer?"
