I agree it kind of can get a little overly bro-ish, but all-in-all, I like that Roger Goddell approaches these guys in a non-adversarial/comforting fashion. Gives a real sense of the unity the league ultimately has from the top on down. As opposed to the awkwardness of the NBA draft where it appears like David Stern expects the players to kiss his ring. Starting a thread like that and then making the readers or other posters provide the picks was my point. I don't have the stomach to sit through 3 hours of the NFL draft, so I hadn't seen Kalil's mom, or any of the other family members really.
