Swiss Cheezhead
I'd classify this one as a more conventional prognostication. I'll probably do another one tomorrow that takes into account some of my bolder "hunches".
CarryTheRock
Just curious, what did you see the Saints getting to switch with the Jets?
NAUgrad
Interesting mock. Shanny absolutely loves Plummer and he's not that old. I think this move is a little bit of a stretch.

Gdawg
Interesting, though I'd hope the Ravens would address their awful O-line/D-line mess before drafting a CB; unless they plan on moving Tye Hill to safety, which is also a need position. Good stuff though!

loyalboyd
Intresting Draft. But I must ask what did it take for San Fran to move down like that. It had to be one heck of a offer?
Jo
Intresting Draft. But I must ask what did it take for San Fran to move down like that. It had to be one heck of a offer? 1381851 Both Denver's #1s. As a Broncos fan, I'd love this as I'm not a huge Plummer supporter, but I can't see it. I think they're in the "go for it now" mentality.
Sox
As a Bengals fan,I could definitely live with Pope in the first and Jennings in the second.Doesn't Cincinnati pick 24th,not 23rd?
CaptainHook
You are big on Addai. I don't see the Colts passing on Maroney to take him. Especially since Polian scouted Maroney personally at the bowl game in Nashville. Edited March 22, 2006 by CaptainHook
Sgt. Ryan
no way Justice falls past Dallas, and no way Winston is taken before Justice. Dallas wont take a WR now, in round 1 anyway.
policyvote
I also find the Culter to Denver move interesting. I would mention that the Lions need interior offensive line help badly, and just overpaid their pass-rushing specialist to stick around. Marinelli loves a talented, underperforming DE, and we've already got like three of those, so I don't see the Lions drafting DE in the second. Peace policy

Swiss Cheezhead
Just curious, what did you see the Saints getting to switch with the Jets? 1381718 The 4th and the 29th overall picks.
Swiss Cheezhead
Interesting mock. Shanny absolutely loves Plummer and he's not that old. I think this move is a little bit of a stretch. 1381719 This was kind of a last-minute insertion into my mock, based on rumors that immediately followed the 3-way trade. The rumor stated that the Broncos would be targeting a QB with their newly acquired 15th pick; I projected it further, believing that, if they wanted a QB, they thought they needed a higher 1st-rounder to package with the 22nd in order to move up into the top 10. Of course, if that rumor is completely false, the mock is pretty hosed.

Especially since Polian scouted Maroney personally at the bowl game in Nashville. 1382033 I see your point, but that's about the ONLY thing anyone points to when arguing the Colts will take Maroney. The kid can't pass-block, he can't catch, AND he's got a bum hamstring. You really think the Colts will pin their offense on him?
budlitebrad
I think Kiwi will fall and Hali will move up from your spots. SF will get a steal if Lawson drops there. Moss may move up to early second. Good mock either way.
Swiss Cheezhead
Believe Avant will go well before 22nd in round 2.......JMHO 1381726 People have wildly different opinions of Avant, but it's hard to fit him anywhere higher than where I have him. Where do you think he'll go (i.e. which team)?
BOO
I don't really know enough about Gabe Watson to comment on him other than I've heard he's a pretty good fit for us at DT, But I like the Saints coming away with Ferguson and Mangold in the first. I think the Saints will get extra picks to make that move, but not any that high - this year at least. We do still need CB and LB help though, so that may factor in somewhere there... What I really hope happens is that the DeAngelo Williams somehow lasts till around 20 and the Colts have the balls to move up and get him. Good stuff though! 1381727 I definitely think D-line (DT) is a bigger "need" than CB, but they seem to like their O-line situation better than their fans do. Unfortunately, there aren't any DTs worthy of that pick, aside from Bunkley. They could go that direction in the 2nd, of course. There's good value there. Swiss Cheezhead
It's better than just having Rhodes and Mungro. 1382808 Yeah, but is it better than a healthy, faster Addai, who can block and catch? Someday (before the draft), you'll agree with me. What I really hope happens is that the DeAngelo Williams somehow lasts till around 20 and the Colts have the balls to move up and get him. 1382808 I love Williams -- about as much as Bush, actually. He's not much of a blocker, either, but his running skills would keep that Colts offense humming.
