peepinmofo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_ddO5ENtus That brings back so many memories. They must have altered the programming because he wasnt even the best player. If I recall correctly, Payton was the best, or maybe Bo Jackson. AtomicCEO
They definitely had a turbo for the A Button. Other than that, it was definitely possible. He never let two guys get on him at once, and he didn't get caught by any dives. Edited April 3, 2007 by AtomicCEO
loyalboyd
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_ddO5ENtus WOW. That did bring back memories. I loved Bo Jackson and Marcus Allen though better. But to have the ball a whole 3 plus minutes and cant take him down then score. PRICELESS!

Naw, Super Tecmo had a few interesting glitches on it - Packers NT Bob Nelson was LIGHTNING quick, you could shoot the gap and dive and blow up just about every play on the other team's offense. I racked up over a 100 sacks with him one season.

The Wolf
Dennis Gentry was unstoppable returning kickoffs for the Bears. And if memory does serve me correct, Bo Jackson was the best player in Tecmo.

Bo Jackson was insane. He was the only guy who could have a big run when the opposing D blew up the play. As far as KR, I had more success with Dwight Stone from Pitt than Gentry. kcmast
At one point, I had an entry for "Bob Nelson" on the Urban Dictionary, but it has been purged. We outlawed the "Nelson Factor" shortly after it was discovered. Only a few shotgun plays and I believe the SF naked bootleg worked against it. Vicster
Cunningham with the Eagles could pull away from center and neutralize those dives most of the time. I enjoyed that game immensely. We use to take the worst teams we could and try to run up huge stats. It was fun...

"Bubby up the middle" became a crass euphemism for intercourse.

kingfish247
I would tip my hat to anyone that was able to return an INT for a TD longer 25-35yds. After an INT, any offense became the 1st team NFL All-Century defense.
irish
Bo Jackson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAAgfY_NHzw Okoye's run was more impressive as he knocked over every guy on the field about 10 times each whereas Bo wasn't even touched. However, Bo was still awesome!!!
