Fatman
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Koren Robinson, who was suspended for one year for violating terms of the NFL's substance abuse policy, has been reinstated and can return to practice immediately, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Robinson's suspension came in the wake of an incident in August 2006 while he was playing for the Minnesota Vikings. Police said Robinson led them on a car chase at speeds over 100 mph, and his blood-alcohol content was found to be 0.11 percent, above the legal limit of 0.08. The Vikings cut Robinson, and he signed a two-year deal with the Packers in September. However, he played in only four games before he was suspended. In February, Robinson was sentenced to 90 days in jail after pleading down to a charge of fleeing police. Robinson also was sentenced to three months in jail for violating probation on a separate drunken-driving case in Kirkland, Wash., last year. timnmakayla
I love the quote from Fanball, being that I live in WI... Packers: KoRo reinstated 10/17/07 12:07 PM THE NEWS NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has reinstated Koren Robinson, who served a one-year suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy, according to ESPN.com. Robinson served three months in jail this summer for violating probation. Our View Robinson plays in Wisconsin and has a drinking problem. This is not going to end well. That being said, I hope the guy doesn't fall off the wagon and land on a bar stool.
budlitebrad
Could be a decent in a 4 WR set? Maybe? I don't know. After watching those JJ fumbles, I really don't need to see KRob start dropping balls again...
xtra
Hes only 27 and has just as much ,if not more talent, than any Packer reciever. His biggest problem was his drinking,if he has fixed that he will exceed your expectaions.
Sturphy
He's a great addition as a WR4 and as a KR. He was in the Pro Bowl as a KR only 2 years ago, right? Of course, he's not in game shape. And who knows if he's in any kind of shape? This can only help the Packers, and he has an outside shot as a WR3 over rookie mistake-prone Jones. That would give him fantasy value. Randall
...........and this news matters, why? Special teams. The Packers DST just got a boost. The team embraced him and he's been working with the team doctor. If he's serious about staying clean GB may be the best place for him. No matter how many times screw up I still hope they stay clean. gbpfan1231
No way he sniffs much if any PT with Jones, Driver and Fergy Thank you for cementing the fact that you are an idiot and you do not know what you are talking about. Fergy?? Koren can only help the Packers - even if it is only on kick returns and maybe punt returns. the Pack does not have a solid kick returner and has Chuck Woodson returning punts so any way the Pack can get him to just play on D will help. Last i checked having an excellent kick returner can help your team - just ask a Bears fan - that is all they have. The Packers are 5-1 and a little boost of help on kick returns can only be good news. Edited October 18, 2007 by gbpfan1231

gbpfan1231
He's the first player to be reinstated after a one year suspension under Goodell. Which is smart for the NFL. This shows that if you take your punishment and stay out of trouble and do what is asked thehn you are granted a quick hearing and return to the NFL. Pac Man may want to talk with koren for a bit of advice.

He is showing he is tough but also reasonable. If KRob screws up now he shoud know his career is over. I go to Wisconsin quite often, not a great place to keep your sobriety That's the strereotype but there are many activities that don't revolve around alcohol. Many people live there and don't drink at all. Of course drinking and sex are popular when it gets cold.
