Bronco Billy
Doesn't that just suck? That's what, an 8 week recovery?
ROYALWITCHEESE
Doesn't that just suck? That's what, an 8 week recovery? All depends on the severity and location of the break. Anywhere from 6-12 weeks. I predict Matt Jones is signed by Monday...
electricrelish
Miles Austin / Sam Hurd...BUMP! OK, so who do you think has more value? Hurd or Austin? So far Hurd has outplayed Austin, right?

kpholmes
Marvin Harrison? Gotta be Harrison unless the coaching staff feels like they can lean on Witten/Crayton/MartyB enough... ...though I wouldn't mind sending Javon Walker to BigD for a seventh round pick or so

Bronco Billy
I just heard the same thing that David just reported. X-rays were negative and the injury is being called a sprained shoulder.
Chargerz
I just heard the same thing that David just reported. X-rays were negative and the injury is being called a sprained shoulder. There are different degrees of shoulder sprain. The mildest requires 2 weeks of rest and rehab. The worst sprain is almost as bad as a broken collarbone (6-8 wks minimum). It'll be interesting to see how bad his injury turns out to be.
policyvote
By my math, this means that Mike Williams should invest in a set of size Grady Jackson shoulder pads in 2012. Peace policy

Footballjoe
(Rotoworld) The Cowboys have listed Roy E. Williams (shoulder) as day-to-day. Analysis: It was feared that Williams had broken his collarbone, but the x-rays came back negative. The team is calling it a "shoulder contusion," also known as a bruise. He'll still likely sit out the rest of the preseason, but all signs point to Williams being ready to go for Week 1. Continue drafting him as a solid WR2. Scooby's Hubby
Just dumped Nate Washington for Sam Hurd in MSHB II earlier this week
Scooby's Hubby
And they weren't even in pads! FYI Orlando Scandrick ran into Williams on that play and you're right, they weren't even in pads. Scandrick is looking to start alongside Newman at CB this year.
MustOfBeenDrunk
when did Dallas trade him to Cincie ? Roy Williams - S - Cincinnati Bengals Posted 8/28/09 1:07pm et Tweet this news item! The Dallas Morning News reports Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said during a radio interview that WR Roy Williams (shoulder) will not be out for a long time. 'Based on our review here, we're talking about a very short timespan. I don't know that he'll go Saturday ... but he'll be out there real quick,' Jones said. Huddle Up: There has even been some talk that Williams could make an appearance in Saturday's preseason game against San Francisco. That doesn't make sense, considering Williams had a wrist scare a few weeks ago. But the fact that conjecture is even taking place is a great sign Williams will be ready to go Week 1 against Tampa Bay.
