SNOWBOUND33
I don't thing he has anything left in him. Except maybe another McDonalds commercial which he obviously has never tasted their food.
Papajohn
I would be very very surprised if Cobb is not out for the season. It looked very nasty. James Jones might be back though.

I don't know. Could be a quad injury? Isn't that what's held SJAX out since week one?

Big John
Jay Glazer is saying neither Jones' nor Cobb's injuries should be season ending, with Jones' injury being less severe.
Mr Bad Example
Jay Glazer is saying neither Jones' nor Cobb's injuries should be season ending, with Jones' injury being less severe. Jordy Nelson was saying that neither was as bad as first thought. Which means Cobb's season isn't over, and I didn't know what to think of Jones' injury. So that isn't all that helpful. Bronco Billy
The injury to Cobb was a helmet straight on to the knee cap. If his patella isn't broken I'd guess he'll return sooner rather than later. Jones didn't appear to have his joint move unnaturally, so unless it's a tear of some kind I'd guess the same kind of time frame for him. We'll see. Rimmytose
Reports are that it will not be season ending for Cobb or Jones as stated above. Hoping for a good report today. Losing Julio was tough enough, if I lose my top 2 WRs I might as well stick a fork in my team.
kidsgotsoul
Hoping to hear some encouraging news today. If he's down for considerable time that's likely a torpedo to a couple of my teams' seasons.
MikesVikes
It would be unfortunate for either player to miss the Vikings game coming up very soon. That is more fun than a bye week.
Tripleshot
It would be unfortunate for either player to miss the Vikings game coming up very soon. That is more fun than a bye week. Careful. I thought Romo and Murray had dream matchups against the Redskins (lack of) defense. Romo got me 8 points.

Wolverines Fan
From rotoworld: ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on NFL Live the Packers' "expectation" is Randall Cobb (knee) will miss two games. This is actually a much better timeline than originally anticipated, giving Cobb a shot to return in Week 9. He was on crutches after suffering the injury in Sunday's win over Baltimore. For the next two games, the Packers will utilize Jordy Nelson, Jermichael Finley, and Eddie Lacy as their primary means of generating offense. They face the Browns in Week 7 and Vikings in Week 8. James Jones' availability is shaky due to a sprained PCL. Cobb could be back for a crucial division bout with the Bears in Week 9. Only two games missed for Cobb? I thought it would be more. That hit on his knee was nasty. Edited October 14, 2013 by Wolverines Fan
Big John
The 2-week report is coming from only 1 source. Thinking that is a bit optimistic.
darin3
The 2-week report is coming from only 1 source. Thinking that is a bit optimistic. Well he IS quoting a team source, so perhaps that's what it is. I'd be shocked, too, though. I was thinking more like 3-4 weeks.
Big John
I am seeing rumors that the Packers are trying to sign Tavarres King off the Broncos practice squad.

darin3
Yeah, broken fibula. That doesn't sound like a 2-week injury to me.

ajh2
The question now is to keep Cobb or not. Edited October 14, 2013 by ajh2
Dcat
depending on the nature of the fracture, 5 - 8 weeks for a broken fib. Usually, that is. Why did the "team source" say 2 weeks earlier today? That was really misleading.
