Leave at 12 pm on Thursday to drive to Vegas! May be tough meeting up though...have a business dinner on Tue and a team building exercise on Wed. Link Mrs. Puddy was completely surprised when a black man in a tuxedo was holding a sign with our name on it. Here's the problem though. The f'n air wasn't working and it was 106 degrees. Shouldn't that be the FIRST thing you check (right before making sure there is enough gas) before picking someone up in Vegas. I'm not the big complaining type but I'm wondering if I should send the bastages an email. Other than that the trip was great. Bellagio is very nice. We spent a few hours each morning chillin' at their pools. They have a couple where the water is freezing cold (not sure how they keep them that cold in the desert). Saw Blue Man Group which was really fun but overpriced IMO ($140 each). Spent a couple of hours at Voodoo lounge at the Rio. Great nighttime view of Vegas. Just gambled a little bit. Lost $50 at blackjack but won $60 at the airport slots waiting for my plane. I'm jealous of you guys going in a few weeks. Just too many variables. People coming in at various times aren't going to want to scramble to find an off-strip place. Plus, they have "a TV"? What if it's some piece of junk 19" TV up on the wall? We're gonna have a big group, and many people won't have a good viewing angle. I am all for meeting at a place like that on Friday or Saturday night (after WCOFF drafts) but I'm thinking it's not the spot for Thursday. twiley and I get in early on Thursday and I think we can start looking for a good spot much earlier than we did last year. Right now, our main man Soup is working a possible angle that might work out well. We should have the Thursday venue figured out soon. As for the Saturday night gig, it's between Hofbrauhaus (kitty corner from Hard Rock) after the WCOFF drafts, or perhaps at a lounge at Treasure Island.
